Lake Country Home in the Pines Is A Relaxing Vacation Getaway

"This home was everything my four sisters and I could have hoped for - and then some! It was clean, inviting, and beautiful! The kitchen was very well-equipped, and we didn't even have to buy coffee filters! What was especially impressive is that the host contacted me in advance to see if we planned to use the pull-out bed in the lower level and the bed on the four-season porch so that she could have them all made up for us (which she did!). The house is very roomy - whether you're gathering in the living room, the kitchen/dining room, or the lower level family room. We loved the four season porch and the two decks. It was also very conveniently located - just a few miles from the town of Park Rapids with its wonderful little downtown and shops, not to mention some great restaurants. (Thanks for the recommendations, Barbara!) We also drove just 10 miles north of Park Rapids to Itasca State Park, where you can see the headwaters of the Mississippi and literally walk across the river! They have a beautiful and educational Visitors Center and lots of walking paths. I cannot recommend this property highly enough! We usually go to a different destination every year for our Sisters' Trip, but if we decide to go back to the Park Rapids area, we'll definitely try to stay here!!"
