"We were only in Cambria for one night but we enjoyed our stay at the Castle Inn. Jack was on the reception desk when we checked in and he was fantastic! He was very welcoming, gave the kids an extra cookie and then not only recommended a restaurant in town, but kindly called them to make us a reservation. The hotel was basic but clean with all the amenities you need. The pool area was great too. Would recommend this hotel."

The Rigdon House

The Rigdon House

10/10 Excellent
"Would stay again. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Friendly staff. Free drinks for happy hour. The Smoky old fashioned was excellent. The room was really big. Could use some maintenance, bed was lumpy and the handle was broken on the mini fridge. Nothing too important but the small touches are important."

"Very thin walls. I can hear my neighbors allll night enjoying their romantic evening. I could hear every sneeze, snore and suitcase being unzipped so I did not get much sleep. But it's a beautiful location and they maintain it very well."

"Suite was a nice size with a fireplace and balcony. ! Clean room. They should probably vacuum the hallways and stairs more. Across the street from a coastal walk. Definitely would return."

Bluebird Inn

Bluebird Inn

10/10 Excellent
"The best hotel we stayed in on a two week long trip through California. This is a family owned place and it shows. Everyone was thoughtful and attentive. Not just responsive to their guests but accomodating and friendly. Housekeeping was awesome. The grounds are beautiful. They have lovely winding pathways through the gardens to the creek and a fabulous outdoor fireplace for schmoozing at night. Front desk very information. Blue Bird is a little isolated retreat right in the middle of town and next easily accessible to major restaurants and bars yet if you want some alone time you can take a bottle of wine out to the creek or the fire and just chill. We won't stay anywhere else in Cambria"

"The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is a little left field, a little prickly. They have games on the grounds, like shuffle board, but the games are not well maintained."
