THERE ARE TWO LARGE DOUBLE EN-SUITE BEDROOMS. (Can be single beds) The sofa bed is intended for only single short occupancy.

Luxury on 3 floors for a '5-star' holiday in a panoramic gorgeous Canillas de Aceituno village setting with hills/sea view below and National Park behind. Designed by the owner, Suzanne, using the best 'ingredients' with 2 large (32/34 sq.m.) en-suite bedrooms on ground and 1st floor, with blackout lined silk curtains, down pillows and dimmable lights. No squabbles about the best room as both are equally luxurious and large. Bathrooms have power showers within baths (one with additional stand-alone shower) and double basins, proper hair-dryers + robes and slippers if required. (Slippers not necessary unworn; we are not a hotel spa!) All towels and beach towels are supplied. There's a separate utility/shower room too. Upwards to the stunning top floor contemporary open-plan living space + cargo lift, (so no need to carry up shopping/wine/logs) and spacious dining terrace with stunning views over village and hills to sea and sometimes Africa! There's a built-in charcoal BBQ and pyramid gas heater for any chilly evenings. The kitchen is superbly equipped with all cooking gadgets, food processor, orange press, microwave and cutlery etc. (Even Spanish cookery books) Accessed from the living room via a spiral staircase there is a magnificent spacious roof terrace with adjustable sun-loungers, privacy screening/shade canopy and hot/cold shower and the most fabulous panoramas in the village. Within its own patio is a private and romantic solar-heated pool (5m x 2.7m x 1.3 deep) with a shower. (Temperature dependant on sunshine hours!) Casa Convento has the advantage of being part of the delightful 'pueblo blanco' of Canillas de Aceituno, while maintaining its own intimate atmosphere and privacy. There is no reserved parking but space for 3 cars outside the house; however I do supply access to cctv and via app you can see if there is a space before proceeding from the car parking area about 150 metres from the house. FREE CONSTANT WI-FI INTERNET. NO KIDS UNDER 10. THIS IS A NO-SMOKING PROPERTY. NO PETS. NO 'EXTRA' GUESTS.

Now also the famous El Saltillo walk which includes aerial walkways and the third longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Europe!
Please note that this house is not suitable for young children under 10 or people with limited mobility.
CHANGEOVER DAY IS ON SATURDAY ONLY DURING HIGH SEASON.

Lovely house in a wonderful town
The house is lovely - beautifully furnished, with comfy beds and good sized bedrooms. It’s a town house with something on every level, the pool on the ground floor and a delightful sun roof, accessed via a spiral staircase, with 360 views and options to create shade. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The terrace at the front is a dream for dining, with views of the fabulous village. The village itself is so friendly and full of character with a great newish bakery, a small supermarket, great fish shop and a selection of great places to eat. There are lovely walks throughout the area with beautiful mountain drives and wonderful sleepy villages to visit. It’s only a 35 min drive to big stores in Velez and less than an hour’s drive to some fabulous beaches. Suzanne was always quick to respond to messages and queries. All in all, a truly wonderful stay.

Great house in an exceptional location!
Our stay was very enjoyable. The house met our expectations in term of facilities, amenities and equipment. The pool was clean and the kitchen well kited. The balcony / terrace provided an exceptional viewing point. Dominating the entire village and amazing panoramic views over mountains and even a glimpse of Mediterranean Sea.

We loved it!
The property is lovely - layout, facilities, comfort, views (just breathtaking, it was difficult to tear away from the dining terrace) ... everything!! The location is stunning! Sunsets from the top terrace were beautiful. We loved the village too - it had all the food we needed from the friendly shop owners; we enjoyed the restaurants too - each offering something different. Many thanks, we all loved it.

A real taste of Spain
This is a very well-equipped house, with homely, tasteful furnishings and a very well-equipped kitchen. The bedrooms and beds are large and comfortable. All of rooms are spaciouse with the highlight being the spectacular, panoramic view from the terraces on the upper floor. There are two flights of stairs to reach the upper lounge/dining area but this was not a challenge; the small goods lift is a wonderful help in transporting shopping from the ground floor to the kitchen on the second floor. Canillas de Aceituno is a peaceful, quiet and friendly village. There is a choice of places to eat and drink, and the welcome is always warm and friendly. The owner takes pride and care in maintaining her home and this adds to the overall experience. It is refreshing to have such prompt, clear and helpful contact both before arrival and during the stay. I recommend Casa Convento for anyone looking for an escape from the busy, noisy life of the big city.

A wonderful house, with good location, great views - perfect for our needs.
We loved the house. It was just what we needed, well appointed/equipped and perfect for two couples. Pretty much everything you needed in the kitchen for preparing meals, but also good restaurants in the village. The pool, although small, was great for cooling off and sunbathing on the top roof terrace with great views was lovely. The location is charming and with the national park on your doorstep there are some great walks / activities to be enjoyed. Suzanne was very helpful at all times and very quick to respond to a couple of queries we had. We had a wonderful time and would happily return.

Awesome Scenery, Terrific Villa
We loved our 6 days at Casa Convento. Suzanne, the owner, was responsive to our email queries and appointed the villa with carefully chosen pieces. The village of Canillas de Aceituno itself was charming with many side streets that encouraged exploration. Behind the villa were some spectacular hiking trails of moderate difficulty. We would highly recommend Casa Convento. The only reason we gave it four stars rather than five, was the extra cost we would have been charged for heat during cold weather -- the Casa had in-floor electric heating. We felt that should have been part of the rental cost. Otherwise, an excellent choice.

Ferienhaus in sehr schöner Lage
Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub im Casa Convento. Die Lage ist super in dem kleinen Dorf. Es ist ein toller Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und mit dem Auto Andalusien zu erkunden. Auch konnte man in Cannillas gut abends essen gehen. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse des Hauses ist ein Traum und der Pool war schön zum zwischendurch abkühlen. Das Haus ist so gut ausgestattet, das man nichts vermisst. Auch die Kommunikation mit Suzanne klappte reibungslos, auch als wir zwischendurch Fragen hatten. Alles in allem ein wunderschöner Urlaub! Kleine Randbemerkung: man sollte wandern mögen, vom und ins Dorf zum Haus gibt es ein paar Höhenmeter unterschied, aber sehr gut machbar und die kleinen schönen Gassen machen das gehen abwechslungsreich. Auch gibt es eine Serpentinenstraße zum Dorf, das ist aber gut machbar.

Séjour agréable mais un peu tôt dans la saison, températures fraiches le matin et météo capricieuse. Véhicule indispensable à tous déplacements. Maison spacieuse avec tout le nécessaire mais piscine à 18° donc impossible d'en profiter.

joli petit village.. gents spathiques et très bonne ambiance. point positif de la location ..chambres spacieuses avec salle de bain et douche très bien... cuisine bien aménagée point négatif.... parking lors du séjour on devrait avoir une place réservée ily a seulement 3 places et souvent prises par les voisins n 54 et si par chance vous pouvez stationné ilya souvent une voiture devant vous... désagréable.. le parking plus bas 9 places dispo toujours prises normal vu le nombre de location....pour la piscine déçu... très très petite 5m20 sur 2m10...piscine très dangereuse pas de rembarde de securité aux marches et sur le muret a déconseillé.. famille avec petits enfants... enfin la vue de la fenêtre de la cuisine sur une ancienne construction de maison aujourd’hui en ruine laisse a désirée ...
