Convenient location but rather old

The hotel is at a great location, right by the sea. However, it is rather old and needs renovation.

Great rooftop patio overlooking garden and sea

Posted May 8, 2016
A very well-maintained quaint hotel with a wonderful rooftop patio overlooking a park/garden and the sea/beach. Within easy walking distance of the port and promenade. Very helpful, friendly staff. Photos taken from rooftop.

Outdated, but good location.

The location of the hotel is very good, close to the beach and the city centre. The hotel has a lovely rooftop terrace with a spectacular view. Hotel service is OK. Parking is a bit difficult since the garage is very small and a bit stressing to access. Breakfast is very expensive considering what you get. The rooms a very dated, and not up to modern standards. The shower has no wall mount (meaning you have to hod the shower head in your hand) and the beds are very small and uncomfortable. This was probably a fancy luxury hotel in its day, but some serious remodeling is now in order for the modern traveler. Also, our room, on the 2nd floor, was just over a busy traffic crossing, making it very noisy, and disturbing sleep. Asked for a less noisy room, but were not given one since hotel was fully booked.

Very disappointed with this Hotel it is supposed to be 4*, it is more like 2 1/2*. Room décor very bad, old bed covers, old carpet, old furniture, clean bathroom, terrible hairdryer, the only good thing was the area and position of the Hotel, the staff were nice. The swimming pool must give it a 4* but we didn't use it. Was nice enough on the roof. Very expensive breakfast, didn't even try it. Had to ask for teabags and shampoo wasn't topped up.

Close to the Beach

Posted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: Close proximity to the beach and Le Suquet
Cons: There is no restaurant or bar at this hotel. They serve a continental breakfast, but the rest of the day, food and drinks must be ordered take out.
Had booked online. Paid for sea view. Got there and had a view of the park. Had to pay extra to upgrade to sea view. Which was what I originally paid for online.

Friendly - Excellent employees!

First, let me say the staff was amazing. They were absolutely incredible. The room smelt moldy and old; however, the view was amazing from the 5th floor. The garage is very small and can only accommodate smaller vehicles, so I had to park my mini-van down the street at a parking garage for 18 Euros a day. I highly recommend this hotel for families, mainly because of the excellent staff that is willing to go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
