Old cottage black mould in bathroom and kitchen. Central heating system not working so had to build log fires to keep warm. Damp surroundings. Gutters blocked log burners flue blocked so became unusable. Tiny electric heaters no where near enough heat to heat the whole two story cottage . Couldn’t get hold of anyone through messaging emails or ringing. Spent two weeks trying to reach someone and keep property warm . Double bed old and worn. Need a rest now I’m home. Waste of money and travel time. Very disappointed with this trip. Miles from shopping with out a car it would be impossible to get any supplies. Unfortunately the cottage has been unmaintained for to long. The guest book has shown that all the previous visitors have had the same experience as us . No reply to their email no one to contact since the last caretakers retired.cost us a fortune in logs and coal and no time to relax as we had to constantly keep fires going and by second week we were down to one fire in the dining room and watched the black mould grow on the ceiling s at the back side of cottage . The trees were about to fall down onto the cottage roof.
