I needed a place to stay near the ferry, this did the trick for that. Otherwise this was a pretty crappy spot. Tough to get to for the taxis and once there I was asked to pay in full even though I have already paid half through Expedia. No food in the area and a pretty rough place in general.

This is property has no standards it smells old full of mosquitoes no channels on the television I can go on and on, I was more disappointed in Expedia than anything else for have this on there site

James makes one feel welcome as soon as you arrive. The hotel is conveniently close to the ferry terminal. It is clean, has hot water. Beds are comfortable. James will provide breakfast and/or his famous BLT for dinner for a price. Restaurants in town are mostly closed by 6p. There is adequate flat parking although the driveway is steep. There is 2 flights of stairs.

We arrived on a late ferry, so the convenience of the location is perfect... Although I wouldn't walk to the place at night as you have to walk through a not very nice neighborhood. During the day it's ok. The owner was very helpful, room was comfortable with ac and good wifi. They offer breakfast for usd 10 if you want. Close to town and the market.

The road leading to the Inn looked like the road to an abandoned house or the road to a dumping ground There was no ac and no hot water. Kitchen was limited and the door was falling off the fridge. Very disappointed.

Beautiful Castries Harbor View
Clean and efficient! The location is excellent, very convenient to downtown (walkable if you’re able bodied) and beautiful views. I love the Castries harbor view and this location does not disappoint.

The view is worth the effort
A great stay - the staff were friendly and helpful. A good sized room, light and airy with an excellent cooling system. Huge communal sitting area with furnished balcony overlooking the harbour - fun to watch the cruise ships departing in the evening. The breakfast is highly recommended for a reasonable charge. Walking distance from the ferry which goes to Martinique, Dominica and Guadeloupe, but its hard work to walk up the hill from the ferry to the hotel so don't attempt it if you have luggage!

Recién for apartment at Harbour Vista
The host was very good and accommodating but no queen sized bed as advertised. Me and my travelling companion slept on a full sized bed and we both are over 6ft tall. There was no TV available. So there was no form of entertainment in the room. We had to resort to playing music from our phone. After getting there I went to take a shower and no soap was in the bathroom. Had to change my clothes and go into town to purchase soap after I was tired getting there. Room was not "guest ready". No towels in room.. had to wait for these to be brought... and after shopping for groceries and getting back to the apartment no matches were available for the stove. Had to once again ask for this, he stated he forgot to put in the room.. I felt like I was harassing the host having to each time press the bell to ask for amenities. As I said he was very gracious.

Take time to enjoy the harbor view.
The owners son, manager, was very accommodating with some sandwich snacks and coffee in the morning. He also provided a taxi/tour guide to show us the island and provide transportation to the ferry terminal.

Great for quick stay in Castries
Geat option for budget travelers interested in more of a local experience. Very friendly owner with helpful suggestions of things to do. We walked into town but definitely be aware that its on a VERY steep hill from ferry terminal & stray dogs, cats, roosters around. 1 dog growled at us at night but other than that, no issues. A few mosquitoes in the unit upon arrival but we just made sure to use bug spray and we didnt get bit (we closed windows after arriving though). Currently no a/c, but unit has working wifi, cable TV, hot shower, a beautiful view from a large porch with refreshing breeze. There is a fridge and a basic gas stove top to cook (remember to ask for matches) but no microwave. FYI: We stayed on a Saturday night and a neighbor was bumping loud music till 3am. I loved it and had no problems falling asleep after tons of activity during the day. Also if you are coming from the US, don't forget your plug converters. I would definitely recommend this as a budget option for a short visit to Castries (IMO not a whole lot to do in Castries so I wouldn't spend more than a few days of vacation time there). If you love the beach like I do, you can go to Vigie Beach from here for 40 EC one way or 25 EC from downtown Castries. Don't be afraid to venture out, say hello to the local people and enjoy the real, non-touristy Lucian culture!

Hotel with potential
The location is ideal for it is walking distance to town and right next to Ferry Terminal and within close proximity to Airport but the owner needs to do major work on the place. It has potential to thrive. He needs to put in certain amenties to make it more welcoming. Linen needs daily changing. Additional kitchen amenities need to be added to the apartments, a certain ambiance needs to be included to the apartments. Owner is very hospitable.

This hotel seems on the map very close to the center of town, but it is on top of a very steep road and does not have a sign. It took me a long time, plus asking several for direction to find the place. It is close to the harbor (downhill) where you can board the ferry, as it is directly on top of it. The room was large but had a mildew odor. There was no towel and I had to wait for the owner to come back to get one. No soap either. I was the only one at the hotel that day. The internet worked fine but was not secure. No place to eat around there, you need to walk to the center of town and I was told not to do that at night. The owner was nice and the view was great from the balcony.

A good find
Stayed two nights in front apartment overlooking harbour. Fantastic view. Amazing value. Cletus was helpful and very pleasant. Excellent position for ferry and not too far to walk into town. The locals were very friendly. No name on hotel but is easily identified by photo. The climb is steep if arriving on foot, best to take right hand route which is slightly furthur but a little less steep.

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel pour sa proximité avec le ferry mais l’environnement est anxiogène. Le propriétaire n’est pas sur place et il n’y a aucune possibilité de se restaurer notamment pour le petit déjeuner. Je dois dire quand même que l’accueil s’est bien passé alors que nous sommes arrivés à 11h

Agréable surprise
Séjour éclair pour accompagner notre fils qui devait se rendre à l'étranger en passant par Ste-Lucie. A ma grande surprise nous avons été très bien pris en charge... depuis le chauffeur de taxi qui nous a attendu au terminal ferry jusqu'à 2h du matin. En passant par le propriétaire qui nous a reçu à 2h15 et très bien installés. Ces 2 personnes ont rendu notre séjour agréable et nous ont grandement facilité la vie. Je recommande vivement! Ma famille et moi reviendront d'ici le mois prochain...

Une déception
A part l'accueil aimable du gérant Cletus James et la belle vue sur le port, cet hôtel est une déception. Nous sommes arrivés en taxi à la nuit tombée. L'endroit est sombre, escalier d'accès raide aux marches glissantes sous la pluie. L'étage où se trouve notre chambres est désert, mal éclairé, un brin inquiétant, avec mobilier épars. La chambre est petite, spartiate mais propre. Petit déjeuner payant préparé par Cletus, bouteille d'eau payante. Pour info : nous avons séjourné dans la même semaine, dans le même environ (aéroport SLU de Castries) et pour un prix équivalent, dans un hôtel incomparablement meilleur.
