We stayed at Praia Verde for a short five day break with our two children (a two year old and a three month old).
The staff is very friendly and they are always ready to help. Overall, the facilities are good and clean. The kitchenette in the room is handy, although we hardly used it.
It is advertised as a family friendly hotel: it essentially is, they are very good with children and have a recreationist on site in the afternoon until the evening. They claim to have a "kid's club", but in fact that really is just a tiny room with a few toys, so the children get easily get bored after a while. We went in October, so it was very quiet. Maybe there are more activities during the high season.
The restaurant is very good and again, the staff is (mostly) friendly. Our criticism is that, because the hotel is really quite remote, you end up mostly eating in. Because of that I think it should have a larger menu and it would be good if it changed every now and then, to avoid you getting bored of the same dishes. We stayed only five days and already did...
The bed in the family room was huge and comfortable, however the sofa bed was really very uncomfortable to just sit on and watch TV. We didn’t use it as a bed as we used cots, so as an actual sofa it really could be better.
During the day the restaurant is closed and the pool bar is where lunch is served. Again, the menu could be more varied. But overall the area is comfortable and pleasant, it just lacked a bit of atmosphere, such as
