I loved the property. The location near the sorrow was perfect. There was a bit of a moldy, musty smell on the common areas and I only noticed it because I'm extremely sensitive to orders that may trigger my asthma.

They have a mild issue with bugs. The first night I had to kill a roach in the shower and I almost cancelled the booking but decided against it, it might’ve been a one off because I didn’t see another one, however it’s not something you’d expect from a DoubleTree. The rooms were a bit run down. The location is good and the staff was good.

Two star hotel with four star rating
How did they get a two star hotel rated as four? The rooms are dingy and grimy. I asked to move rooms due to urine on the bathroom floor, but the desk said the hotel was full. Hilton.com, Hilton’s phone number and hotels.com all said there were more rooms. This hotel is old and disgusting.

Bit of a mixed bag service wise.
This review is a tale of 2 halves - the night we checked in the person on the check-in desk was pretty unhelpful, and there was only one person running both the bar and waiting on the restaurant - he had a pretty bad attitude and clearly didn't want to be there - would ignore requests from those at tables and clearly was not having a good day - even told a customer who had just sat at a table to move to a table closer to him so he didn't have to walk so far! Next day the morning staff could not have been more helpful - happy to help in any way they could and the shuttle bus driver who was not busy offered to take us to our meeting 2 miles away free of charge. All in all a mixed bag.

My Review of the Doubletree - Charlotte Airport
The customer service was PHENOMENAL! However, the condition of the hotel was very lack luster and out-of-date. My bed had HAIR in it! Due to the late hour of my arrival after a day of travel, I just slept on the other side of the bed and kept the hair covered up. Additionally, the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling. The temperature of the room was locked at 63 and turned to 59 overnight. I was unable to adjust it. So I slept cold. The purpose of my trip was due to a loss in the family, and I was there to pay my respects. Ergo, I really didn't feel like complaining to hotel staff because their customer service was great.

I searched for luxery hotels and this was no way near luxery, it was average at most. I expected a little more for a hotel that was almost 300 for one night. It wasn't horrible but I wouldnt stay there again. It wasnt the cleanest and appeared outdated. The cookie was good though.

Unfriendly staff. Long wait time at front desk, much longer than it should have taken. Around 20 minutes with two guests o ahead of us. Promised their doubletree trademark cookies would be out soon.. kept assuring my son of this and ultimately said there wouldn’t be any cookies. And no empathy shown!!! Wanted $19 for breakfast. Will never stay here again.

This came up as a 4* hotel on the app and it’s definitely not 4*. The staff were friendly and it’s a great location for the airport. The room was very basic and had a musty smell. The pool was old and not especially clean. Fine if you’re staying for a night to catch a flight from the airport but not a particularly nice stay
