Nice hotel close to UVA grounds.Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Everything was great. Can't wait for the finished product.
Wonderful staff, especially Donald Gathers, the front desk supervisor.

Great hotel in the center of it allPosted Aug 24, 2015
This is a great boutique hotel with a lot of retro character. The staff was amazing, starting with the valet the moment we arrived. The reception desk is a vintage card catalog with select drawers filled with treats for both humans and canines. We were there for UVA move in and when my husband returned to the hotel to park our car, he hopped on a bright Orange complentary bike to get back to the dorms. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The retro college decor is quite pleasing. I saw other reviews with some complaints, but give this place a chance. It only opened this summer and is not completely finished. The delightful servers at the lobby cafe apologized for only having Lipton tea right now, which I appreciated. Needless to say, a much better tea selection is needed. Looking forward to the rooftop restaurant on a future stay.

An up and coming retro gem in CharlottesvillePosted Aug 22, 2015
Brand new hotel. Location can't be beat - right at The Corner across the street from UVA, the hospital and walking distance from the Amtrak train station. Retro look and feel - whimsical touches. Loved the game room and outdoor space. Room spacious, bathroom huge but no closet - strange. Coffee shop in lobby. Still under construction. Anticipate great things to come! Overall recommend!

Absolutely dreadful.Posted Jul 18, 2015
How bad is it when you wish it had not changed from a Red Roof Inn? The staff was clueless. Valet parking is mandatory, and costs an extra $7. I will never stay there again. And the nightly rate was double what it was before it changed over. Seriously, stay anywhere but here. Go camping instead.
