"The staffs are very friendly. The room is decent and the lake view is great! Vending machines are old and not working properly."

"Built in 1843 so it’s old and has old school charm. Very clean rooms with window A/C the floors are not level and the steps to the 2nd and 3rd floor are narrow. There is no elevator. The lodge sits right on the lake and is very beautiful. If you plan on dining in the restaraunt better make reservations in advance although the bar is first come first serve. The bar staff is awesome and take very good care of you while at the bar, did not get thirsty……if you know what I mean. WiFi is free, which is good because cell phone service is sketchy. Overall a nice change of pace to slow down. Don’t go expecting modern amenities like computer and usb hookups in your room because you’ll be disappointed. I’d like to go back again for longer than one night just to explore the area. Overall a rating of 8/10"

Best Western Cooperstown Inn & Suites

"It was surprisingly a good stay. The workout room needed attention as there was no water and towels available after the first day. Breakfast wasn’t the best but, its hotel breakfast Laundry machines were great. The only downside was I missed the checkout early by 1.25 hours and had to still pay for the room."

Red Roof Inn & Suites Herkimer

"We were very pleased with this Red Roof lodge. The main lobby was very clean and cheerful. At check in they were very friendly and accommodating. We were not sure what condition the place would be in as you see pictures on line but things could be different when you arrive. This one was not different. So we booked another night stay. During the next day I was amazed at the amount of staff they had working to keep the place clean They did also have a nice area to eat breakfast with plenty to choose from. Also very easy to get to different places in town. They had a sheet with suggestions for local restaurants. Small town but very friendly."

"Exceptional location, just a short walk to Baseball Hall of Fame and Main Street activities ad well as beautifully situated at the Lake with a nice restaurant. We had limited contact with staff (which I view as a positive) but interactions were always pleasant. The room was very clean; small as you would expect a motel style room to be, but nice queen size bed with a small sitting area. Bathroom was very clean and bright; my only comment is that with a pedestal style sink, there was no counter space for toiletries, etc. There was a single glass shelf which helped but was still a little fight for space for 2 people. That said, there was space elsewhere in the room to store these things but it created a little disconnect. I will definitely return."
