“This hotel was recently renovated and reopened after being closed for many years. There is still quite a bit of work to do and the maintenance staff is only onsite during the day. We had to change rooms, which led to a room being out of service. The owners should consider keeping staff on for extra hours until the tourism season is over.”
“Not much good to say. It was an outdated room with few furnishings, not inline with contemporary hotels. The handicapped shower was not sloped properly in the bathroom and the ENTIRE bathroom flooded after a shower making it unusable post-showering. I mentioned this to the staff, but was told "it will drain eventually".
Breakfast was sub-par. Entire site needed an overhaul.”
“Paul and his staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful! Lovely old stately home converted to BnB, with delightful breakfast next day. The suites are large and very comfortable and just dripping with classic furnishings appropriate to a late 19th century stately home.”
“We got there before normal check in and had to wait as they inspected the room. They said it was ready but didn’t they didn’t discover most of the lights didn’t work, tge room clock didn’t work or the power outlets around the bed didn’t work. When I reported the problem they made us sit in the lobby for an hour to report they couldn’t fix it and had no other room nor even discount the price because of the inconvenience.
We were only there a few nights so tolerated the lumpy bed,……

The kids especially loved the spacious backyard, where they could stay entertained for hours with baseball, axe throwing, soccer, hammocks, and a variety of other games. Having the option to grill and enjoy a picnic outdoors was such a wonderful touch and made our stay feel……
