"We had a lovely time at this simple cabin. The location was great to access Black Mountain, Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Lake Lure. It was terrific to have my dogs with us, too, since so much in the area is dog friendly. As others have mentioned, it is a very high step up to enter the cabin. Very high and awkward especially as it could be easily fixed. The road is also almost directly under the cabin so you do hear the road noise but we didn’t mind it too much. The area was quiet and was amazing to sit on the back deck enjoying the sounds of the wind flowing through the trees.
