For the price we paid it wasn’t worth the hype. The only exception was the location. Although there is a museum within the hotel lobby, that was pretty cool. The toilet was leaking, the refrigerator either wasn’t working or broken or just not needed to be there and forgot to take it out, no remote nor clear guidance as to what was included in what we paid for. Valet is the only option which was fine for us due to wanting our car secure. I had high hopes for this hotel but it was lacking. The location is great and everything is walkable and nearby. The staff was nice and helpful when we called about our concerns and needs of the room. It was across the street from Trader Joe’s and around the corner from the Starbucks reserve which was really nice to have near by. Would we stay here again? Not for what we paid for. No VIP access according to the expected Expedia reservation. Idk what that could have been.

Best 3 things about the hotel was its location, the staff, and the shower! But, bring ear plugs! The sirens are pretty much non stop all night long and the sound is SO loud in the room. My brother stayed at a hotel on same street just 2 blocks down the road, and said you could hear sirens, but, wasnt deafening like in our room. Need to give guests ear plugs! Otherwise, the staff friendly and informative and the shower: amazing water pressure and HOT! Best thing in the room. Very few outlets in the room.

I love all of the art and the fresh environment with great lighting. The staff was very accommodating. We liked the bedding and the shower had great water pressure. A mini fridge would have been helpful. It was a great property and location! Can’t wait to come back

21C is a smaller hotel two blocks from Michigan Ave., so it was very quiet in our room but easily walkable to anything. Upgraded to a very large room with king bed and 2 sitting areas — very spacious! Clean all around, easy self-parking nearby although we used valet. Lobby is filled with cool art installations which we enjoyed. Would definitely stay again.

The location is excellent. The property is just so so. The lobby and most of the hotel smells like weed. Guys smoking weed right outside the front door when we arrived probably have something to do with that. Staff not friendly but the rooms are clean and a good size.
