Good value for the money. The rooms were clean and maintained well. The restaurant and bar staff are excellent and accommodating. This is not an all inclusive but the prices were not out of control. We went to the Buccaneer for golf and lunch and didn’t see why it was almost 500$ more per night then the Tamirand. Great time!

All the staff were wonderful, friendly. After just a day we felt like we'd been there before. Having the sea just off our patio was amazing. The room was always cleaned promptly and well done. They even found a coffee pot for us so we could have coffee every morning on the patio. The restaurant, The Deep End, was great. Food always good. Bingo night was a blast. Prices reasonable. Overall, our experience was relaxed and very enjoyable.

Second time at this property. This time the service was much improved - awesome in fact. The rooms all have a fabulous view over the water. The restaurant breakfast was great. But there were a few niggles. The music at the restaurant each night was incredibly loud - I could hear the throbbing beat in our room. But the entertainment finished promptly at 9pm so we just went out for dinner each night. And the noise from the guests upstairs at 5am on two mornings - I don't know if they were elephants or the floors were very thin - was overwhelming. I stay in a lot of hotels and have not been unable to sleep because of noise upstairs. The restaurant offers a theme night each night - reminded me of a cruise ship which I think appeals a lot to folks. We had the Expedia VIP which meant $10 was taken off the breakfast per guest. Breakfast was GREAT by the way - who can beat the view and the food was excellent. However some days they only took $10 off for the two of us and others $20 ($10 each - which is how they explained it at check-in). I'm thinking some folks hadn't read the memo but we didn't kick up a fuss. Everyone on staff there was so nice and friendly. And again, eating breakfast with that view? Hard to beat. If we find ourselves there again, we're asking for upstairs room even though the ones downstairs have kitchens and were a kind Expedia upgrade. And in the block as far from the restaurant as possible just to enjoy some tranquil quiet.

Just to start off, this was our first trip to St. Croix. We read lots of reviews about the hotels on the island. We set out with goals in mind and tried to pick a property that met or was easily attainable with nearby attractions. Our goals: Beach Front Rooms, Golfing, Spa, nearby food, in room kitchen, entertainment. Rental car was easy right at the airport. Let me say, spend the money and rent a car. You will be happy you did. There’s a lot to do and taxis are hard to get. On our drive to the resort we passed a grocery store (Plaza Extra East) and I would recommend using it. Anything you need is in store and they give you vouchers for gas. check in was really easy. Staff was friendly. Not wanting to cook after a long day we headed down to the bar/pool (Deep end) area to check menus and grab a cocktail. Upon arriving the place was packed, but not uncomfortably. Plenty of staff, and friendly. Food was delicious, I think we ate there 6 meals total. Prices were reasonable and every night they have entertainment. Of the nights we went down there we saw: fire dancers, learned to salsa dance, played disco bingo with cash prizes, had a limbo competition, and some good bands and dj’s. The buildings look dated but everything on the island looks the same. Room was spacious and clean. Has kitchenette and safe in room. I highly recommend Tammarind if you enjoy relaxation and modest fun. Not a party resort. It was everything we wanted. Just booked again!
