An amazing escape
My family and I just returned from 8 nights at Rowlands Feet. What an amazing place. The house is clean, modern and open with amazing views of the surrounding forest. It was so quiet and peaceful, and a real joy to sit on the deck and listen to the birds. There are plenty of things to do in the surrounding areas eg Cradle Mountain, Tasmazia, Devonport, Mole Creek Caves etc. but the highlight was the secluded and private location of the house. Really enjoyed our stay here and Sally and Rex were wonderful and accomodating hosts. Will definitely be back.

Listen to nothing!
This house was so quiet you can listen to nothing. A beautifully presented spacious home that had everything we needed. The glass windows captured the heat from the sunlight which meant that the rooms were beautifully warm. We lit the fire each night to take the night chill off. Very well appointed home, would highly recommend.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rolands . It was peaceful & pleasant with all the comforts of home . Our grand daughter loved the toys in " her bedroom" and the combustion heater was perfect way to end the day . Thankyou . Would love to return one day

Great location - peaceful spot and beautiful home
Beautiful private location in an almost new house. Everything we needed was provided - maybe a couple of light blankets/throws in the lounge would be appreciated if you don't want to light the fire, is the only suggestion I would make. We loved it.

Beautiful property!
We absolutely loved our stay at Roland’s Feet Retreat. The views are beautiful and the house is clean, spacious and very comfortable. The bath overlooking the bush was wonderful after a day out walking. The beds are very comfortable with quality linen and towels provided. The location is peaceful and private but a short drive to town. Highly recommend. We will be back! Thank you.

Tranquil, comfy, gorgeous
Thank you for another wonderful stay, we loved every minute and of course did not want to leave. The electric heaters were great as we didn't want to light the wood-burner. For us, Roland's Feet is a great base for day trips to various lovely walking trails. We particularly enjoyed the Forth Falls Track this visit. So very scenic, a good track with a nice range of vegetation and excellent signage. Perfect weather was a lucky plus. Many thanks again for a lovely stay.

Beautiful property and great location at Roland’s Feet Retreat
Roland’s Feet Retreat was exactly that, a beautiful place to retreat to at the end of a long day out walking through the many walks at Cradle Mountain which is only a short drive away, the large open plan living and multiple balconies provides views within the treetops of the spectacular flora and fauna of Mount Roland, A short drive and you have all the amenities available at Sheffield and while there take in the fabulous steam train ride at the Sheffield Steam Heritage Centre. Another must see is Tasmazia & the Village of Lower Crackpot, filled with fabulous mazes, miniature village and model embassies from around the world. Roland’s Feet Retreat lived up to its name with its modern, comfortable and spacious living areas, wood fire heater and balconies to enjoy alfresco dining while the sunsets over the treetops lifts it to the next level, I will highly recommend it to all my family and friends when traveling through Tassie and look forward to coming back again in the future.

A beautiful place to stay
We greatly enjoyed this house in the woods. The house was beautiful, and with a large and well stocked kitchen. We ate our meals on the back porch overlooking the woods. We would stay here again.

Beautiful secluded location
This property is in a gorgeous secluded location. The house is well appointed with a large master bedroom and ensuite and 2 other smaller bedrooms. The view from the living area and decks is lovely. Only about 10 minutes from the lovely town of Sheffield. Would definitely recommend if looking for a quiet place to stay in the area.

Another Fabulous Stay
This is the 3rd time we have stayed here and we have loved each stay. Great location, well set out, has all facilities. It was lovely to be able to sit inside, watch the rain fall and the wind in the trees while kept warm by a lovely wood heater. Perhaps the only concern is that the heater will not burn overnight so you need to light it again in the morning, particularly if it is cooler. Our friends from Canberra who stayed with us this time described it as perhaps the best property they have stayed at. Kitchen is fully equipped, enabling you to do all your own catering. Maybe a barbecue on the deck would be nice for warmer weather. Would happily stay again if ever in the area.

Comfortable home in bush setting
The house was very comfortable— modern, clean, light, spacious and warm, and in a wonderful private bush setting. It was lovely to sit on the balconies and watch the native birds, and even an echidna going past! Had a lovely time, thanks very much.

Always a great stay
Wonderful property in top location being remote and private but with access to Sheffield and it's lovely shops. Don't bother with a supermarket shop on the way just use Sheffield iga it's grew. Located brilliantly for hiking etc. Cottage great design and experience. Our first trip in 2 years to tasmania due to covid was just brilliant.

Stunning location, beautiful property
From the moment we opened the door, saw the beautiful home and view we knew our stay was going to be special. We started the fire (already laid for us) and relaxed. The flexible spaces and the surprise wardrobe of toys was just what our 3 generation family needed to be able to enjoy a few inclement days. We relished watching the weather, soaking in the bath and letting go of our day trip plans. Just the break we needed!

Idyllic
Lovely quiet and peaceful stay. Only a short drive to Sheffield but a world away. The house was warm, cosy and nestled away in the bush. A nice getaway for my 60th and a thoughtful small gift left by Sally and Rex. All in all a wonderful stay.

Love This Place
Absolutely love staying at Roland's Feet Retreat. Lovely house and lovely surroundings. This is our 2nd stay here ad loved it as much this time as last time. Perhaps my only criticism is poor TV reception and the size of the TV itself. While this may not usually be a problem, we had extended our stay so we could watch the ANZAC Day AFL game but this proved impossible due to poor reception. However, this is really only a minor issue as you don't really come here to watch TV.

However the wifi is good and we find that most people now just log on and stream their sport or favorite programs. A perfect Tasmanian getaway!
It was a perfect Tasmanian getaway staying at Claude Road. The property is nestled in the bush, with great views of the bush land and trees, and close to Sheffield. It was relaxing watching the bird life going about their daily routine. The Claude Rd property was a great place to stay, and it was those little things that make it a difference - a bath tub with a view, and marshmallows for the kids (big and small)!

Little beauty!
Even though it was only one night, our friends that stayed at Claude Rd were able to switch off, relax in a clean and luxurious space whilst my hubby and I snuck off to tie the knot with our fur baby! Thank you Sally and Rex for being so accommodating, especially with our pooch!

Peaceful retreat
We had a wonderful time in this well provisioned, modern, spacious home. The surrounding forest and country side created an idyllic atmosphere which we thoroughly enjoyed from both inside and out on the decks. The linens and bathrooms were luxurious. Loved that rain shower! The location was perfect for exploring the local sites and the property itself was very easy to access. We would love to come back for a longer stay.

Wonderful stay
Four of us stayed for 3 nights at this property and loved it. Very well appointed and comfortable. Location is very convenient to Sheffield and Cradle Mountain is only an hour or so away. The location is so peaceful surrounded by bush, you can't hear traffic or anything. Loved it and would happily stay again.

Lovely property
A lovely property nestled amongst the trees. It was well equipped and the kids loved the toys and books in the bunk room. Unfortunately it rained most of the time so we weren’t able to make full use of the patios but when we could, it was a beautiful place to sit & enjoy a meal.

Excellent retreat and base to visit Cradle Mountain
As advertised. Lovely retreat surrounded by bushland. Short drive to Sheffield to purchase groceries from the IGA. 50 minute drive to cradle mountain. Didn’t have time to explore the other attractions could easily have spent another night or two. The property itself is well maintained and well set out.

An amazing property with stunning views.
Easy booking process, good explanation of directions especially regarding driveway entrance. An amazing property with stunning views from every angle. Our first property in many that has had a wood fire, loved it. Very quiet location, apartment was very clean and extremely well set out. Would highly recommend.

At the foot of Mt Roland
Very secluded location on side of the mountain. Recommend do not have a front wheel drive as the drive way is not sealed and makes for a interesting entry. Log fire is perfect with the view out to the tree tops. We spotted wallabies, bandicoots and blue wrens from the balcony. Not far from Sheffield and most other towns in the Northwest if you don’t mind a little driving. Only 50km to Cradle mountain as well
