There is plenty of space, both indoors and outdoors, for relaxing and spending quality time with friends or family during your peaceful country retreat. The surrounding grounds include views of pasture land, farm animals, woods and a large pond. Guests are welcome to feed the pond fish and turtles, food is provided by the owners. (This is a NO FISHING pond.) This peaceful rental is an absolutely perfect place to get away from the fast-paced chaos of everyday city life and to slow down and enjoy the fresh air and peace and quiet of the country. Although located in the peaceful country, numerous restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores and other shopping are located within 6 to 10 miles. Property is located 20-25 minutes away from the Towns of Covington, Folsom, Mandeville and Abita Springs during non-rush hour, and is a one hour drive to New Orleans. This beautiful property features 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen, a large combined open breakfast, dining and living room area with beautiful vaulted ceilings, 2 baths and utility room with washer and dryer. In order to keep our prices fair for all guests, our pricing is based on the number of guests in your group. Baseprice is for the first 2 guests. The cost for each additional guest over 2 is $10 per night. Bedrooms comfortably sleep 6 people. (If you wish to bring your own air mattresses and set them up in the great room/living room, you can book more people than 6 people.) Bedroom furnishings include: Bedroom 1: Queen Bed Bedroom 2: Queen Bed Bedroom 3: Full Bed FULL KITCHEN stocked with: coffee station, stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, glasses, coffee cups, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen basics. Amenities also include: Flat-screen TV with cable including Netflix, Hulu, Roku and Amazon Prime, free wifi, board games, central air and heat and ceiling fans. Linens and towels are included, and the utility room includes a full size washer and dryer stocked with laundry soap. OUTDOORS: Rental outdoor space includes a large private back porch with outdoor furniture and large wooden swing. Enjoy morning coffee or breakfast on the back porch while listening to the beautiful sounds of birds all around you. Or wind down on the back patio in the evenings with your beverage of choice while the tree frogs, crickets and cicadas lull you into a relaxed state of peace. Outdoor games include cornhole and giant Jenga. Relax and picnic by the pond, and enjoy feeding the pond fish and turtles (fish/turtle food available at no charge. Fishing is prohibited.) OFF STREET PRIVATE PARKING that pulls up directly to the rental entryway and can accommodate as many vehicles as necessary. SMOKING POLICY Smoking is prohibited inside the rental.. Smoking is allowed in the open grounds surrounding the guest house and at the the pond. Minimum renter age is 21\. Photo ID may be required upon check-in. IF YOU ARRIVE WITH ADDITIONAL GUESTS NOT NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR ORIGINAL BOOKING, YOU WILL BE ASSESSED AN ADDITIONAL INVOICE FOR THEIR COSTS AND ASK TO PAY PRIOR TO THEIR BEING ALLOWED TO STAY. The home is even more beautiful in person. Yes, it’s a but further out than some may want to be but that is what we loved about it (and this is fully disclosed in the listing). The kids had plenty of room to run around and the pond was so peaceful, we sat out there for a few hours. The home had everything we needed and more, including two friendly goats. We are interested in relaxing in the quiet of the country and travelling to our destinations as we like only to return to the quiet country setting. This is how we live at home in Oklahoma, so we have the same likes when travelling on vacation. House had plenty of room and space to stretch out and relax, AC was great and the beds were comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to any Vrbo guest. The place is 1.25 hours from uptown New Orleans, but I am familiar with the area so locating it was not hard. Sandra gave specific details that enabled us to easily find it. Parking was safe and easy on a long gravel driveway. The house was large enough for me to store my bike in the entrance way at the foot of the stairs. The living area was very clean and attractive. Sandra had more amenities than any rental I have ever seen. She even had cotton balls which I needed as my supply was depleted! It was a very enjoyable and relaxing place to return to after long days at the parades. My pups loved the path around the pond. The property was lovely and peaceful. The home was spacious and clean, with all necessary amenities. The location was ideal for our travels to Covington, Mandeville, and New Orleans. Sandra is a wonderful host! We’d love to come back! The house was clean and nicely furnished. We only cooked breakfast each morning but the kitchen was we equipped. The owners leave food for the fish and turtles and you are welcome to feed them. The house itself is very well stocked with anything you need for cooking, coffee, tea and the appliances are very easy to use. It was very easy to communicate with the owners and any issues that arise were very quickly fixed. The beds are super comfortable and after long days in the “Big Easy” the were very welcoming.
