"The Soma House is the sister hotel to The Garrett and Hotel Fiona, and it’s where the amenities are located. The rooms were clean, and the staff was amazing and very accommodating. The pool area was nice and comfortable, and there were shops and places to eat nearby. Overall, we had a much better experience staying here."

"Let’s start by saying the pictures of the rooms are a complete catfish. The hotel looks nothing like the photos online. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which was honestly the best part of the stay. However, the hotel itself needs major updates. There is carpet throughout the hallways and rooms and it smells pretty bad. There is no air conditioning, so be prepared to request a fan. They do keep the windows open, but some of them don’t even have screens, which means anything can get into the room. Our bathroom definitely needed renovations. The tile was dirty and literally coming apart from the wall, and the vents were extremely dusty. The bathroom was also very small, especially the shower. If you’re a thicker person, I would definitely recommend requesting a handicap-accessible room, as those bathrooms are larger and updated. The ice machine was moldy, and the breakfast box with pastries had gnats flying around inside it, which was very off-putting. Another thing to note is that there are no amenities at this hotel. If you want to use any, you have to go across the street to their sister hotel, The Soma House. The staff there was also very friendly, and the rooms there are much nicer. In fact, we liked it so much better that we asked to relocate there, and the staff was very accommodating and helped make that happen. The area itself isn’t the best, as there are quite a few homeless individuals around. But as our Uber driver suggested: “Uber in and Uber out.” Overall,"

"The primary reason I chose this property was the airport proximity AND the hotel to airport shuttle. It turns out, the shuttle is a shred, two hotel transport the runs about every 45 minutes from the two different locations to the SF airport. It was a stressful 45 minutes for me and my wife as we waited for the shuttle as our Lyft driver was coming to the hotel to meet us. Missing that connection would have been a problem getting to a concert across town. Be warned. Allow an extra 45 minutes in your schedule to get to the next place or back to the airport. "

"The staff was so nice. We arrived late and Maria was very welcoming and friendly. This is an old, old hotel so it's unique. I loved the antiques and the luxury of a different time. Great central location for the things we wanted to explore while we were in SF."

"While my husband was being treated at UCSF I Stayed at many hotels. Symphony Inn was by far the best. Excellent beds!!! Room darkening shades, frig, coffee, microwave helped. Exceptional staff. Great location for coffee shops and a quick uber trip to the hospital. The only place I will stay for follow-up visits."
