"Location and affordability are the best reason to stay at Embassy - you are in the middle of it all and can walk or ride within minutes of most of the best Downtown has. The location is gritty by some standards but the community around the Embassy pretty much stays to themselves - you are next to some great schools and great local restaurants - the Embassy is very clean, it is an older building and its age shows, but the staff keep things in great order. We had a double room which was very spacious there is no a/c but the window fully opened and let cooler air into the room. The floors and walls are thin - depending who your neighbors are you will hear conversations and know when they are walking around their rooms. The restroom is a great size good amenities and the shower/tub worked well. The room had an iron and board and hair dryer television is DirecTV and familiar to operate. Overall - if you're in town and need a safe comfortable affordable place to be your starting point in the city and your resting place in the evening your won't go wrong with the Embassy. "

"Room was very smelly, bathroom needs to be worked on, it did not appear clean due to wear and tear, we only need the room to recover our sleep due to our return trip from 14-hr flight back from Asia before flying back to LAX. The complimentary shuttle to and from the airport was not very sufficient as it works on fixed schedule, we waited almost an hour to get to the hotel and wouldn’t be able to use it after we checked out since our flight is at 6:45am so we’ll need to make our own arrangements."

"There is a $16 per day parking fee that WAS NOT mentioned on Expedia or when we checked in. However, the room layout was perfect for us- living/kitchen with a bedroom on either side (with private bathroom). I didn’t like not having daily housekeeping, but towels, trash bags were given to us at the front desk upon request. A hot breakfast- eggs, meats, pancakes, etc, was included in price. Very convenient because the location didn’t have nearby restaurants, only large office buildings all around. So overall, nice quite area with a lovely walking trail behind the hotel that overlooks the bay."

"There is a nice restaurant right across the street Turquaz SF that is great for a meal or dessert."

"Nice hotel but kind of in a bad area but other than location the staff was great and the hotel stay overall was good. "

"Shuttle has a break from 12nn to 4pm that we were not informed. But beside that, everything was great. Staff are friendly. Venue was accessible to transportation and close to stores."
