I liked that the property was in close proximity to shops and restaurants. What I didn't like, was that on their site, they mentioned having 24 hour shuttle service to and from the Des Moines Airport (which was really the main reason I decided to stay at the Hyatt Place). When I called the hotel to have the shuttle come and pick me up, they said that they did not offer shuttle service at this time. I suggested that they take that info off of their website. Another disappointment was that they did not have any vending machines. If I wanted something to snack on or drink, I needed to go to the corner store. Very inconvenient, I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere in 44 years that didn't have some sort of vending machine. Another thing I didn't like, was that the rooms didn't meet my standards for cleanliness. And the complimentary lotion and soap bottles weren't sealed, so I didn't use them, because I didn't know if someone else had used them prior to me. The pillows on my king size bed were tiny (there were 4 of them, but each were about half the size of a standard pillow). I would choose to stay somewhere else, if I had to do it again.
