“We recently stayed here on our visit to Barbados for a week. The hotel is still brand new so it is nice. Very conveniently located and within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. Would have given the hotel all 5 stars, but we ran into a few issues with our rooms. The check in process was quick, easy and the staff are some of the nicest people we have met. The first night was fine with no issues, however we ended up running into several issues with the key card reader to our room.……

However, the hotel could greatly improve the guest experience by offering more entertainment and amenities, especially for couples. Adding activities such as live music, themed evenings, or other entertainment options would make the stay much more enjoyable. “Resort was clean, room was spacious although we had pool side view the stairs to our space for the pool was broken, staff was friendly, no activities or much entertainment, food was mediocre, found myself going to a coffee place 1 min walk away and going to other restaurants off property to enjoy the food, only chopstix was worth it for dinner. If I would’ve known I wouldn’t have paid more for the all inclusive and would’ve just paid standard price.”

“Beautiful hotel. Our room was right by the pool. Very nice. Staff was not helpful at all. They couldn’t check us in when we arrived because WiFi was down. Staff gave no instructions on anything. They handed us a paper with meal times. No assistance with anything. We had never traveled to Barbados and thought perhaps the check in staff would help us navigate to some excursions. They also weren’t friendly. Never smiled. Just a smile back would have been something and made us feel more comfortable.……

We initially had some trouble locating the spot, but we contacted Ian, the host, and he stayed on the line with us until we pulled up and went through the front door. Our first impressions of the place was that it looked as advertized but in person it was underwhelming. “I booked this apartment late afternoon, and arrived promptly after booking. The host Greg was fantastic. He was friendly and extremely helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better host. “Everything in the property was as described. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a problem starting the gas stove but a call to Nigel the house manager got that fixed immediately. Loved the spacious drying room and the patio. The only quibble is that it was not a short walk to the beach - it was 25 minutes at least, beside a busy road with little paved sidewalk and uneven ground - tricky for older women!
