Had a large king suite on the 6th floor. Bed was comfortable and fresh. A bit of overhead airplane noise being in the flight path. Room was huge, clean and recently reappointed. Construction adhesives and new carpeting smell was still evident. Furniture is a bit too low end pedestrian grade for hotel wear and tear. It’s crisp modern boxy foam block shape will wilt quickly. Water was hot and abundant. Front desk staff on check-in was pleasant, friendly and efficient. Checkout had me on my way in a flash to catch the 5:15am shuttle. Best front end experience I have had in years. Good job with staff.

Jeremy was wonderful checking us in. We had a very comfy bed and everything was great. We would definitely stay again. The only thing we had an issue with is by hooking through Expedia we couldn't take advantage of their super cheap park and fly options and when we tried to cancel and rebook it wouldn't refund us.

The hotel is beautiful. Our room was huge, super clean, and the bed was comfy. Close to parking for the airport. Front desk staff (Lakeisha?)was very nice.

I really enjoy Hamptons, never been disappointed staying in one! The only downside to this one is GPS was off & it was difficult to find/get to, but that's not the hotel's fault!

The staff was excellent! We always enjoy our stay at Hampton Inn but this was our first time at the Detroit Airport location. Friendly and professional staff, good breakfast, convenient shuttle to and from the airport, quiet location, seamless check-in/check out.

Check in was a mess. Called Hotels.com to change date of stay from September 15, 2023 to January 29, 2024. I was told that the change was approved by the Hotel and that I was all set. Upon arrival, Hampton Inn hotel had no record of new stay, and that the original stay was listed as a no show. I found that odd, as I received the standard email from the Hotel about parking two days prior. Desk told us we had to call Hotel's.com and that there was nothing that she could do. Called, was on the phone for 30 minutes or so. Finally resolved, but I had a hard time understanding the Hotels.com rep due to heavy accent, and the Hampton employee at the desk was the only unpleasant staff member I have ever experienced at this Hotel, and I stay here often. The supervisor, Erin, who assisted us in resolving the issue at the Hotel, was not at all pleasant. We apologized for the inconvenience, although we had been told and had our Hotel's .com documents regarding the change and thought the situation was resolved prior to our arrival. I have never experienced anything but cordial, helpful and happy personnel at this Hampton location. This was the first poor customer service experience I had ever had at Hampton Inn Romulus location. Very disappointed. While Hotels.com should shoulder much of the blame, the Hotel employee made an unfortunate situation worse by being very unpleasant. I never leave negative feedback. This experience was not at all what we expected. Disappointed.
