Beautiful!Posted Aug 18, 2016
The hotel was gorgeous, staff was friendly, we were treated like royalty. Only set back was that our tv has to be reset twice and there was hair in the shower, but those are minor and can be fixed. The maintenance people came right away each time. Our stay was amazing! I will be back!

Nice hotel but not kid friendly.Posted Aug 9, 2016
Nice hotel for adults. No one under 18 allowed in pool or food court area. For the price there should at least be a family pool area.

Very nice and clean roomPosted Aug 8, 2016
Pros: Beautiful and clean
Cons: Check in took a bit longer then expected
I wish we had more time to enjoy our beautiful room. Was within walking distance to Comerica Park where we had tickets to the game.

Awful.Posted Aug 1, 2016
Cons: Everything. Filthy
Location: Close to down town
Minibar was full of opened, half finished drinks. Hadn't been checked in weeks by the look of it. No towels. No soap. Service was garbage. Shame on MGM

Concert get awayPosted Jul 2, 2016
Pros: The pool was nice but there were 2 jacuzzis. A women's and a men's. I would have like to sit with my husband.
Cons: The room temperature, the hallway was cooler than the room. The jacuzzis were nice but odd that they were separate.
Location: Many Detroit sites within walking distance or just hop on the people mover about 2-3 blocks away.
We are not casino people but we decided I was something different and it would be nice to try something new since we were traveling without the kids. First the hotel us impressive, Very big, clean and resort like. If you are staying in the hotel you have to valet park your car, it's free however we usually do not like to do that. We had the thermostat set for 65, the lowest it could go but it was actually between 70-72 all night. So needless to say our night sleep was uncomfortable and hot. We like the room cold to sleep, especially when it's hot and humid outside. The next morning we went to the front desk to report the problem with the air conditioning and we were offered a fan, which really does not solve the issue. We asked for a manager a maintenance worker was sent up anod set the thermostat to 60, which made no difference since the temperature never went below 68 and that was very brief. We were told there is a motion sensor and the air is only in when someone is moving, which does nothing when sleeping. They did move us to another room, concierge level and gave us a food credit, which was nice, but the too was still too warm for us. It wasn't the managements fault, the toons air conditioner couldn't keep up with such a large resort, or they were trying to conserve too much energy. Overall if you are a gambler it's nice to be close to the casino, but slots look old, if not a gambler stay somewhere where you'll be more comfortable.

could have been betterPosted May 9, 2016 on Hotels
I stay at this hotel almost 30 times per year. Unfortunately this was probably my worst experience. I got to the room and it was extremely warm. It took about an hour for the temperature to change but it did which is great. I went into the mini-bar and it was completely empty. Not only that but there was some left over pizza in the mini-bar from a previous guest. I told the front desk about this (on tuesday afternoon) and when I left on Friday morning it was still the same. No update to the mini-bar. In addittion, internet and phones we down for most of thursday. they started working again around 4p. the people here are always nice but they need to get these glitches and mis-communication fixed internally.

Location: Fox Town is two minutes away. The fox theatre is a must to see a concert in. Comerica Park, Ford Field, Greek town, all within three to four minutes.
From our arrival to departure, this hotel, casino, and restaurants were the best. The staff is unbelievable. Friendly, courteous, willing to help: from parking staff, front desk, doormen, casino and restaurant, these folks were top notch. My wife and I will be back soon.
