“Hated writing this one. Were huge on not caring too much about overall condition and usually go based on price concern with a balance of convenience, quiet and cleanliness. Great place if you can actually get it cheap and just need it a night or two. TONS of stairs, don’t book if you have a bunch of luggage or are by yourself and have several pieces to carry. “We could not believe our eyes when we walked into the stunning apartment within the Castle. The decor, the views, the warmth, it was everything that we could have wished for plus more! The town of Lauder is pretty and recommended pub and cafes were excellent. Even though it was cool and misty the views and experience is something we will treasure forever. which was a lovely tAbbey.”
