“A beautiful, historic castle outside Edinburgh. Room was very nice--bed comfortable, bathroom clean and roomy enough. Restaurant in the basement is a "must do." Steaks are cooked over a wood fire. Food was superb. Only negative was that I learned if you don't book directly with Melville Castle then breakfast is not included. I used a Expedia to book, so no breakfast included, which didn't seem right given the room prices. Overall a great experience. My wife and I would like to return sometime.”

“Shower moldy, jet tub control panel missing cover mechanics exposed. Dirty linen upon arrival had to call front desk for replacements. Has potential to be excellent under successful leadership.”

“Really lovely and comfortable accomodation. Very well equipped with a sitting area, table and chairs, and a well stocked pantry with a mini fridge. Lots of character. We had a lovely time.”
