This is our second time back. We love the house and how many people it can accommodate, big windows in the common area, big kitchen, fireplace, grill and access to the slope.

Cozy and Comfortable!
We had a wonderful stay with a family ages 8-76! We had plenty of parking, space to spread out, and kitchen essentials made cooking a breeze. We were very grateful for the ease of accessing firewood in the garage. Owner is quick to respond to questions and we appreciated the approval to check in early since the situation allowed that to happen. We enjoyed lots of skiing and walks up to Mid-Burke.Thank you for a great stay!

This house was a perfect location for access to Burke Mtn and Kingdom Trails! The house itself checked all our boxes. It was clean, spacious, and the check in/out process was simple. I would completely recommend this location!

Absolutely amazing
We just had the best four day weekend! When we walked into the chalet, went down the hallway, then turned the corner to see the whole wall of floor to vaulted ceiling windows… we were awestruck! The kids loved being on the slope side (fyi-there is quite a hill to climb to get to the trail). They loved skiing the mountain. There was plenty of wood to keep the fire going. Plenty of beds for everyone. We just plain had a great time.

Once again our favorite spot!
This is our third time renting here, and its now the only place we want to stay when skiing! Easy access to the trails through the back door through a little trek along the woods. The home has everything you need and plenty of room for your skis and boots. It is the perfect house to cook a big family dinner after a day on the slopes. Can't wait to go back!

This chalet was a fantastic choice for our ski trip. Plenty of room and with three floors there was more than enough space for our group to spread out. Very clean and relaxing atmosphere especially with the fireplace. Being able to walk to the ski trail and go directly to the lodge without needing a car was a plus. Would definitely rent again.

The place was great. We had a large family of 14 that included everyone from six months old to 70 years old and the set up was perfect for sleeping, eating, hanging out and enjoying the week. The host was very responsive. Our only recommendation would be to make clear that this is not a ski in ski out property. It is, however, only a two minute drive to the lower lift. While we were able to hike up to the ski trail, it was not physically possible for any of us to carry skis and get to or from the trail wearing ski boots. We would highly recommend this home.

Great family getaway!

This Place Doesn’t Disappoint
We came here for our annual East Burke bike trip. The house is perfectly located on the mountain, easy access to trails, the mountain and downtown. Perfect spot for our 6 man adventure, garage was super handy to store all the bikes, we brought 12 in total and did a few road rides also. Book with confidence, this place is awesome, we’re most certainly coming back next year!

Winter family getaway
There was 14 of us in our group ranging from ages 1 month to 62 and there was plenty of room for all of us. We all had our own areas so you could get away if need be. The house is in a beautiful location and it's very peaceful there. The kids were able to walk next door to the ski slope and go sledding. It's only a short ride to town if you need anything. The house was clean and had pretty much everything you needed to stay there. The owner of the property Brian got back to my emails very quickly and left all his info at the house in case we needed to get ahold of him. We all had a wonderful time and would definitely rent this property again in the future if it is available around the same time next year for the Polar Express train ride weekend.

Can't wait to come back!
We have been coming to Burke for 3 yrs now and so happy we just found this house. This will now be our go-to for all Burke vacations. The house had EVERYTHING we could ever need. All the dishes and pots and pans and utensils, it was great. We even packed laundry detergent, paper products, and dish soap/sponges but all that was provided too. The view from the main level was gorgeous and just a short little track to the trails. We had kids ages 3-12 with us and the house worked for everyone. They could sled right outside our door. The downstairs play room was a treat. All the storage for skiis made for a clean dry area to sit get ready and the washer and dryer is right there so easy to dry gloves/pants etc. They provide plenty of wood for the fireplace. Brian was very easy to reach- not that we needed him at all. Getting in to the house was very easy and the whole rental process couldn't have been more smooth.

Perfect Home
We had 2 families at the house and there was plenty of room for all. Beautiful setting, so close the ski mountain. Many of our kids walked over the bridge up the little hill and onto the ski trail from the house. Plenty of firewood for the cold nights and a great kitchen for cooking dinner. Can’t wait to come back!

We rented the home for mod husband’s 50th Birthday Party. It was spacious, clean and comfortable with excellent amenities. The main focus of our stay was mountain biking and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. I would highly recommend this home.

We stayed here with 2 families -- each family with kids ages 4 and 2. It's a 2 minute drive to the base of Burke Mtn to access skiing. We had a blast. House was big but cozy at the same time. Easy to get into through the garage with a mudroom at the entrance so wet boots and clothing weren't an issue. Owner was super responsive -- answering questions in a matter of minutes. The decor brought me back to growing up skiing in New England in the early 90s. Zero complaints. Would definitely go back in the winter or summer.

Ideal for mountain bikers in large groups!
Such a great place for a large group! Everything was there that we needed to make it a perfect weekend getaway. Huge garage for 15 bikes. Nice rack for them too. Kitchen was perfect for entertaining and we were not tripping over each other. Hope to return next summer.

Perfect spot for a ski getaway!
Brian's house is perfect for groups who seek a cozy, open floor plan--complete with a beautiful fieldstone fireplace to warm you up after a day on the slopes. Burke Mountain is a skier's hill, so people come here to simply ski (perfect!). Don't expect to find all the hustle-bustle of large east coast resorts. Brian's responsiveness and helpfulness were appreciated.

Beautiful property, built for family!
I stayed at this property with my family over the Christmas holiday, the first big family holiday gathering of this nature since I was young. While searching for properties, I was most concerned with space to gather, ambiance, and proximity to the slopes (family from VT and all ski/snowboard). Almost as soon as I saw this property, I anticipated it was the one and hoped that it would be available. Dealing with Brian, the owner, proved to be a true pleasure. He was very responsive to all of my requests throughout and the property was available for the dates we required! Having rented houses through various services before, I've found that the pictures of the property often oversell its reality. That couldn't be further from the truth with the Burke Chalet! Even as my wife and I rounded the corner and the front came into view, with it's beautiful cathedral great room and wall of windows staring back at us from above, I knew we had made the right decision. This was further confirmed when we got inside and found it just as spectacular as the outside! Better still, we found that each of the bedrooms had been appointed with at least one large bed (as outlined in the property details, but past experience has proven the details don't always match up to reality) which meant that each of the couples in my family could comfortably spend their holiday together, instead of split throughout rooms as often required in other "ski houses." The kitchen was fully furnished with all the cooking necessities and the indoor and outdoor fire place/pits were the cherry on top. My family enjoyed many hours together on the property and though we weren't able to get out on snow, we took advantage of being a short walk from the trails and hiked along them instead! And combined with the world class mountain biking available, one didn't need the snow to be active! A beautiful home in a beautiful part of our country and an owner that's easy to work with, what more could one ask! I plan on return trips to the property in coming years and will only likely plan for a little later in the year to ensure snow! The property exceeded all of our expectations!
