The Hydro Hotel

The Hydro Hotel

8/10 Good
"We recently had a wonderful stay at The Hydro Hotel in Lisdoonvarna. While the property is currently going through some renovations, it hasn't lost an ounce of its historic, old-world charm. It is a wonderfully cozy place to return to after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were fantastic, the genuine hospitality we received made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. We also loved the morning breakfast, which was delicious and the perfect fuel for our busy days. The absolute best part of this hotel is the location. It is the perfect strategic base camp for County Clare. You are only a quick 10-minute drive down to Doolin to catch the passenger ferries out to the Aran Islands, and less than 15 minutes away from the Cliffs of Moher. Highly recommend this hotel if you want a warm, charming stay, right in the heart of all the best coastal sights!"

The front desk staff were helpful and efficient with checkin. Rooms were well maintained, but took a little while to cool off to our desired temp. Breakfast was a complete buffet and easy met our expectations. The hotel was convenient to the M7 highway to Dublin which was great for us"
