Could use some updates

Posted Oct 12, 2015
Pros: Location was good for us as we were traveling from Seattle to San Fran and it was a good stopping point.
Cons: Put the covers on the lights/fans in the bathroom. Make sure doors are secure.
Location: We visited redwoods and ate at a good place - Smoked BBQ and brewery... I can't recall the name.
There was no cover on the light/fan in the bathroom so you could see all this fuzz and dust up there and because it wasn't covered it made a ridiculous noise. It was the same in my parents room so guessing it was the norm. The locks on the doors seemed a little shoddy, there was a hole in my parents - that was just covered up with a plastic circle. There was quite a bit of noise late at night. It may be that people actually live there or something, a bunch of children came in late with their mom/s and were making quite a bit of noise. Breakfast was not very good, the cereal dispensers were broken so no one knew how to get the cereal out. Who offers cocopuffs? It was clean otherwise, and the bed was comfortable enough. Not sure I can blame them for the noise.

A Hotel Room with No A/C

Posted Sep 21, 2015
Pros: The mini-fridge was useful. The TV channels are clearer than other hotels at a similar price, and the channel selection was good.
Cons: Update the decor of the rooms. Fix the pluming in the bathroom. Put covers in the bathroom vent. Install a A/C heating combo unit.
Location: There is a ton of national and state parks near by to see the California Redwoods in all their glory.
The room we got was spacious. The room did come with a good-sized mini-fridge, which we got a quite a lot of use out of. The quality of the TV channels was better then most hotels. The WiFi connection was decent. Provided you were connected to the right access point (there were three possible ones). Unfortunately, the entire hotel is in great need of updating. There is no A/C in any of the rooms, which is the first I have seen in any hotel. There is a thermostat in the room that controls the heater, but even at a very low setting the room will get stuffy without it shutting off. They supplied a plunger in the bathroom, which is always a bad sign. The toilet doesn't flush correctly unless you hold down the handle until it almost flushes, and it will clog if you are not careful. The decor of the room is very dated, and the bed was uncomfortable. The laundry room was dimly lit, very musty, and didn't look very clean. This was a cheap hotel room, but I have stayed in hotels way better than this one at a similar price.

Low cost hotel - Don't expect more

Posted Sep 15, 2015
If your looking for a low cost hotel to crash then this will work but the pillows are the worst and the breakfast is a joke. The staff really does not care about customer service once they have yoru credit card. Go early for the breakfast and grab what you can before its gone - LOL

Cheap, clean bedding

Posted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: The price, and the clean sheets.
Cons: Overall cleanliness
The bedding was clean and white, and the beds were comfortable. Check in/out was easy, and the price was right. There was food left in the refrigerator from a previous guest which tells me they don't do a thorough job cleaning. The chairs were downright filthy and I didn't want to even sit on them, much less set a bag on one. The toilet was loose and rocked when sat on.

Inexpensive, and not bad quality.

Pros: Price and location
Location: Good seafood in Crescent City!
Aside from being a bit too close to a major highway, ( some noise), this was fine dor the price.

Will not stay again.

Arrived after midnight. Firecracker poppers went off in the parking lot when we parked the car and when others drove over them which was quite loud in the room when trying to sleep. Dirty room; the maid has probably never used a crevice tool on the carpet. There was no air conditioning in the room; only controls to turn on heat. The man at the front desk had no personality, but I guess it is hard to be happy when you have people eating their breakfast on your check in counter. The breakfast was pretty bad and the lobby was extremely crowded with the line going out the door of people waiting to come in to eat. Certainly not worth the money they charged.
