Hidden Paradise!
This is a great place to stay if you're looking to enjoy peace and quiet in a true countryside environment. Debbie is super friendly and accommodating; she already had a lot of the things we were worried about needing to bring. You'll have the opportunity to enjoy wildlife, stargazing, and nature in an area with rich history.

Great stay!
The stay at the cabin was fantastic! It was great getting out of the city and into nature. Debbie was great! She was kind enough to call multiple stables trying to book horse riding for us. It was unfortunately too muddy when we went but we still had a great time. The trails are also clearly marked and make for great hiking.

Maine in the snowy woods.
We loved our walks looking at wildlife footprints in the snow. The cabin was cozy and the drive to the coast one day made a perfect day trip. Loved everything about it: host, property, and location.

Super Cute
The little cabin was very cute and cozy. It had everything we needed and a beautiful view of the surrounding forest. I had so much fun! Lots of wildlife to be seen and heard. Debbie was very friendly and chekced in with us often, she is a great host.

Exploring Maine
remote enough to experience Maine and travel to Bangor, Portland and Acadia. Couldn't ask for better hosts. Would recommend these cabins to anyone visiting Maine.

Host was very nice and made us feel welcome. Cabin was well stocked with anything a person might forget to bring! Place was clean and surrounded by beautiful lush lawn and hiking trails. Very private as well.

Our Maine vacation
We were very comfortable here and enjoyed the quiet country setting. Our dog absolutely loved it here. Its a great place to bring your dog. Cant say enough about the owner, Debbie. Shes just the sweetest! We enjoyed our talks and getting to know her.

Perfect place to land!
We moved to Maine and needed a place to use as a base while we found housing. The chalet (smaller of the two cabins) was perfect for our needs. Quiet, with a huge yard and woods for our two dogs to run in and explore. The host is wonderful and lives on the property so was there for any issues we had (ex. needed a new extension cord for the appliances). Country living at its best!

Classic Maine Cabin
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The knotty pine walls and wood burning fireplace reminded me of my parents place when I was a kid. It was really peaceful. We had a great time.

Cabin perfection
We were looking for a cabin in nature for a quiet get away. It is beautiful and perfect. It was just what we were looking for. It's a quiet country setting but yet it is close to stores and things to do. While we were there we got to enjoy seeing lots of wildlife. The homeowner is very nice also. We had a fantastic time!

But the bathroom...
It felt pretty private and the area is beautiful. I was concerned that the smoke detector is disabled, just a wire hanging from the ceiling. What ruined it was the bathroom. The shower curtain smelled strongly of urine, there are no electrical outlets, and almost NO hot water. You have to run water for 15-20 minutes to get warm water for 5-7 minutes.

Great stay! Absolutely beautiful property. We wish we had more time to explore the trails on site. Had nearly everything we needed but bring pots and pans or ask the property manager. Wish we brought our dogs!

Amazing experience

True get-away
If you want to truly unwind, this is an ideal place. Very nice cabin at the end of a dirt road. Comfy beds, nice little full kitchen, great porch, and still within proximity of some nice tourist areas. My daughter and I were able to lie on the picnic table and see more stars than we have in a very long time!

Quite Respite in the Woods
We absolutely loved staying in the smaller cabin here! Set far away from paved roads, the sounds of just nature, and the comfort of the cabin cannot be beat. We are from suburbia, and the change was really necessary. The kitchen and all the other spaces had everything we needed to be comfortable and at-home. We would highly recommend if you need time away to unplug in beautiful scenery.

This cabin is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It is quiet and cozy. I work at night and it was quiet enough to sleep during the day. I highly recommend booking!!

My husband, dog, and I stayed here over a long weekend to relax and it was just what we needed. It’s so quiet!! The cabin is cozy, the beds are comfy and the fireplace was great. There’s no TV but who needs it?! After visiting Acadia during the day, which is a little over an hour away, at night we started a puzzle and played some games. We have some great memories. We didn’t want to leave! Overall, a wonderful relaxing experience in the woods we cannot wait for another visit! Thank you Debbie!

We found the challet to be a home away from home. After a 9 hr drive it was so nice to have such an amazing space. Debbie is an absolute dream and she thinks of everything. The week we spent felt just like being at home, cant wait to go there again!

Great quiet location. The cabin was simple and just what I had hoped for.
Really appreciated the friendliness of the cabin owner and her family. (Yeti, the dog, included). The location is very private and serene... well, other than the logging trucks :). There is a warmth to Knotty Pine paneling that makes me feel peaceful and comfortable. Great place to relax with your pets. I would recommend this location to anyone wanting a place to kick back and enjoy nature and all the serenity it brings to those who are mindful...

Overwhelmed and stressed, my husband & I needed to get away for a while. Meeting Debbie was heart warming, she made sure all of our needs were met, that we were comfortable and updated on the roads and weather as this was in the middle of winter. It was truly a pleasure meeting her dog Yeti, she allowed us to go on trail walks with Yeti, very friendly and sweet dog.. Debbie made sure we had ample amount of wood for the fire place, she was very welcoming and a pleasant to talk too. We truly enjoyed our stay there, beautiful surroundings lots of deers and squirrels. We needed this peace and quiet and relaxation. Looking forward to being there again. Thank you Debbie and Yeti for all you did for us we truly appreciated it.

Just what I wanted
My mom, 3 dogs and I had an awesome time and fell in love with the quaint, beautiful, isolated yet extremely safe area. We went there to study and avoid distractions. Everything was clean, cozy and warm- not drafty like places like that can sometimes be. Beautiful trails. The dogs loved it. We saw a lot of caribou. Debbie was a superb host. She made sure to shovel our stairs and entry way which was super nice. And she even let us check out late because no one else was coming in yet. This is a place we will go back to for sure.

Debbie was very friendly and welcoming. She texted us checking to see if we was okay cause it was a heavy rain storm and very dark out and we hadn't arrived yet. Loved the cabin. Enjoyed walking on the bog trail. We used this location as a base of operation to explore the area. Would have liked to stay at the cabin more but we only stayed a few day. Spent most days exploring.

Great getaway for us.
This adorable cabin is on a secluded property and very quiet. We were traveling with our small dog and she was welcomed by Debbie! The Wi-Fi worked well for us, there is no TV, but not a problem at all for us. This was a good spot for us for sightseeing trips around the area. We drove to the coast one day at Debbie's suggestion and took a boat tour that taught us about the lobster industry in Maine. We really enjoyed it.

Unique woods experience
The exeter cabin is exactly how it looks in the pictures. The property has a Main Cabin and the exeter, the exeter has 2 bedrooms the principal bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed and the second has 2 twin beds , it has an equipped kitchen area , dining table and a living room. The cabin is modest , humble comfortable and private. It is surrounded by beautiful tall trees, I really recommend this place if you want to disconnect from a busy world!

Magical cabin in the woods
I wanted to take a solo trip with my pup in the woods, but also wanted to feel safe as a female traveler... this was just the spot for feeling semi secluded and surrounded by nature, but not completely isolated. The cabin was cozy as can be and had everything I needed and more - and Debbie is the hostess with the mostest that I feel I can count as a friend after my short stay. She not only helped me get my campfire going but was the best company to chat with and learn all about the incredible land and how her family came to be there. She even went for a great trail hike with me, and taught me quite a bit about the woods... and helped get my occasionally bratty little city pup acquainted with the amazing Yeti, an adorable American bull dog who is as gentle as a lamb and a patient & great teacher for my little guy. Ahh what a treat, I know I’ll be back!

The perfect getaway
I can't say how wonderful our stay was at Debbie's cabin, at Exeter Nature Cabins. The cabin was bigger than expected, VERY clean, and so peaceful. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Debbie lives close by so if you need anything she can bring it right over. Our dog had an allergic reaction to some black fly bites and luckily Debbie had some benadryl ointment (the local vet wouldn't see her because they weren't taking on new patients and the emergency vet didn't open for hours later). So I'm so thankful she was close by! The ointment worked within 20 minutes, she in my eyes saved our dog with her quick help. We will definitely be visiting again in the future. Also, they have fire wood right on the property to use.

Best getaway ever!
This was an awesome property! Debbie was so flexible with check in/out making our stay even more pleasant! The hiking trails are clearly marked and relatively easy hiking. We we went with all our dogs and they had a blast! It snowed a few days making it even prettier. The cabin was warm, inviting and comfortable!! We can’t wait to book another stay! We want to try every season. Thank you Debbie for making this such an enjoyable vacation!!
