We had a fantastic time at Perrydise. Melanie and Bobby were fantastic hosts. The house is lovely with the main (upper) level having the master suite, office, bathroom, kitchen, gorgeous dining room and living room with views of the ocean. The lower level has three rooms with queens (one of which with a twin bunk) and may be best suited for kiddos. The rooms are on the smaller size and there's a basement smell that while not offensive is noticeable. The lower level also has a large den area with pool table, arcade game and separate kitchen area which is another reason why the kids would enjoy :) There were lots of nice beach toys and chairs. Plenty of flatware, silverware, pots and pans and cooking utensils. Everything was in working order and clean. Couldn't be happier!

Great position away from town but close to pop in. Quiet part of the beach with direct access. Great house - layout on two floors meant that no one got under ones feet. Kitchen had all the equipment and utensils needed plus adequate stock of condiments. Office was a boon. Sweeping floor plan meant family meals at large table with view of the dunes directly outside. Lovely deck with upscale furniture plus second deck for sun bathing or just relaxing while looking over the sea.

Best.Week.Ever.

I can't say enough great things about this house! The best one we have rented and we have rented a lot. The location was absolutely perfect—which was ideal for both our kids and our dog. You also feel very private with the landscaping and well thought out design of everything. The house itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully designed. The furniture—both indoor and outdoor—was high quality and incredibly comfortable.We had the best week here. The spacious fenced in yard was a huge bonus, and the second kitchen, pool table, games, and toys made it feel like there was something for everyone. We started our days watching breathtaking sunrises and ended them relaxing on the deck—especially the second deck, which was amazing.The owners were incredibly kind, communicative, and truly went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. If we could come back every summer, we absolutely would! There wasn’t one thing I would change- other than being able to stay longer!

Absolutely perfect family beach vacation house! Location, cleanliness, well stocked - everything you could want. Great internet plus private office supports remote work. And the hosts are just delightful. Highly recommended!

Best Beach Stay Ever!

Loved our stay in Perrydise! The yard was wonderfully large and completely fenced for our pups. Even the deck had a gate. The outdoor furniture was very new and extremely sturdy. High seats to make access for older bodies so much easier. We loved the hours we spent on the back deck eating, playing family games, or just talking and chilling with the ocean for our back yard! Private beach walkway and outdoor shower with warm water were added bonuses. The inside of the house had everything you could need or want for a comfortable stay. The upstairs had an open living plan with a kitchen, living room, and dining area leading out to the back deck with wonderful beachfront ocean views and breeze. There was also a master bedroom on this main level with a king size comfortable bed. Then their was an entire downstairs unit with 3 bedrooms, living room, and kitchen with a private entrance. In addition there was a washer and dryer and pool table downstairs.

Just steps from the beach this property was perfect for our family. We liked the lay out of the house for our group of adults and kids that still nap. Best we have ever stayed in with our Golden Retriever, fenced yard was fabulous.

Perfect Family Beach Vacation

We stayed at the Perrydise in early June. We have 3 young boys (all under 9) and two dogs. The house worked out perfectly for our family. The boys loved the bunk beds downstairs, the adults enjoyed the upstairs, and the dogs had a blast running around the fenced in yard. The multiple decks were nice, with the outer most deck perfect for nightly stargazing (meteors, satellites, and star link chains). The access to the beach was super short (you are right on the beach), and the beach was super wide. The area was not crowded so you had plenty of space to run and play. We thoroughly enjoyed our sunrise and sunset walks on the beach. The location was a very short drive to Main Street with the shops and restaurants. Overall, this was a great place. The hosts were amazing too and provided some great recommendations. We had an absolute blast!

Great place to stay

Our family of four enjoyed this wonderful house. Our teenage boys loved their own space on the lower level (bedrooms, tv rooms and kitchen space). It was like two places in one. The fenced in backyard was great for our two small dogs. The two deck spaces and direct access to the beach made this place a 10/10. Lastly, the hosts were easy to work with if any questions arose. Highly recommend

Top Notch Hospitality!

We had a fantastic stay at this cute little house, and the owners were the most hospitable I’ve ever encountered. :) I usually prefer a modern home, but we were looking for a last-minute getaway and couldn’t be too picky. This was a great little house, with all the amenities you could ask for. Very clean too. We loved being so close to the beach, and the outdoor shower was a huge plus too! Our dog felt very at-home too, with the fenced-in yard.

Perrydise is just that!

The property is in a great location. It is a great home with excellent access to the beach. Melanie was always available for answers. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our Goldens. We will definitely rent this property the next time we come to Folly. Mike

Perfect

We're 25 year vets of vacationing at Folly Beach. The house was immaculate (just fyi I know it lists as dog friendly, and we have 2 German Sheps of our own, but there was zero evidence of any vacationing pups - zero.) Beautifully situated right on the beach. Two well-equipped floors made it perfect for my family, and the well-placed gates made it extra safe for the little ones! The Owners were beyond gracious and helpful. In addition to the thousand and one thoughtful touches that make you feel like you're staying at a friend's home, the entire house has a relaxed vibe that can only described as Pure Folly Beach. I can state with confidence that you will immediately feel welcome. I'd rent this again in a heartbeat. Perfect vacation, great memories, well done Melanie and thank you for everything.

Home away from home

Staying at Perrydise felt like staying with at a family friends house rather than a sterile vacation rental. Melanie was amazing about communication, and really took time to make sure the rental felt like home. Including making sure we had a bunch of essentials when we got there, things that you always seem to scramble for. The beach was amazing and quiet and very family friendly it was not packed because of the location which made it feel like our own private beach. Having a fenced in yards for our dogs was a game changer! The yard was big enough for us to hang with the dogs and kids without a worry in the world. This is a perfect family property.

Great ocean front location, walking distance to Folly town, short ride to Charleston

A wonderful family time in a great ocean front home with a huge fenced backyard for our dog. So close to Folly Beach town with its restaurants, fishing pier, bike rentals, short ride to kayaking with dolphins, and less than half hour to Charleston. It was a perfect place for us to have a most awesome time. But must give big props to our host Melanie. A very nice lady who was always very prompt with answers and assistance. Can’t say enough good things about our experience!

Pet friendly beach front home

Great pet friendly beachfront home with master on first floor and three bedrooms with their own family room and full kitchen in the basement. It was perfect for the young adults to have their own area! And a Pac-Man/Galaga arcade game to boot! What a perry-dise!

Folly Beach Family Time

This property was perfect for our stay in Folly Beach. Staying right on the beach with our own private boardwalk made it so easy with our 18 month old grandson for naps and quiet time, not to mention all the beach gear. The back deck was great for the adults to relax after a full day with a beautiful view in sight. This property has lots of character and could easily accommodate a larger group with its 4 bedrooms and 2 kitchens but was perfect for our two families. The owner was very attentive to ensure a great stay and very responsive to questions I had. The property was accurately described and there were no surprises. I could easily recommend the property to anyone looking for a great beachfront stay!

Paradise!

Beautiful property and location. Magnificent fenced in yard for your 4 legged friends. I can’t describe how amazing the outdoor shower was after spending the day on the beach. They even left an amazing birthday cake for me in the fridge! Would definitely recommend this rental and I can’t wait to come back!

This home was fabulous! Very comfortable and unique. Great decorations! Easy parking, great view! Our SUPER HOSTS were very responsive and kind. Loved the sweet treats and the sand pail supplies! Lots of little homey touches. GREAT yard for our pups😊🐾 Will definitely return😁👍❤️

Awesome week at Folly Beach

We had such a great week at Folly Beach! The house was perfect - it was very clean, smelled very nice!!!, beds were comfortable, couch was extremely comfortable, and the view of the beach from inside the house and on the deck was priceless. We went to the beach every day - the walkway/decks out to the beach look like new and there are multiple gates to keep dogs/kids safely contained. We were very grateful for the outside shower to rinse off sand when coming in from the beach (it even has hot water!). Melanie was awesome - very accessible and prompt with communication. She checked in via VRBO messages to make sure everything was perfect for us and even left a nice welcome note and cupcakes in the fridge! Only pointers for future guests would be to make sure you bring your own beach towels and chairs/umbrellas ! We invested in a shibumi shade which literally EVERYONE on the beach has and it was totally worth it. The wind is so strong at times that umbrellas and other tents don't work/end up being like a parachute. We learned that they sell the shibumi's right down the road at the little building in the park for cheaper than on Amazon! We would definitely love to come back and would stay at Perrydise in a heartbeat! Thank you for having us.

Exceptional Folly Flair

from the booking to checkin to during and to check out. absolutely exceptional. Mel's communication was always prompt and kind. our 2 young boys(2&3) really enjoyed the downstairs playroom and I enjoyed the gate(haha) the fenched in yard was awesome for both kiddos and dogs. the outdoor shower was the cherry on top. it really helped with sandy feet and paws(and my husband for rinsing off after hauling all the stuff to and from the beach) the kitchen was well equipped, the bathrooms had great touches and towels were aplenty. all the tvs had streaming which is essential nowadays with toddlers. my teen neice loved the back bedroom and the outdoor shower. all ages had a great time with the folly puzzle that came with the house. the house was overall very homey..it felt like our own. thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Perfect Beach House

Perrydise was the perfect beach house for our family! The kids loved being front beach and made everything so easy to go back and forth from the beach. The views were amazing in the evenings! The house had everything we needed and more! It was very clean and smelled so good! We felt like we were at home. The owners were awesome to book with and very responsive. We will definitely be booking again! Thank you for making our vacation comfortable and one we will always remember!

Great property for family, right on the beach

This is a charming, classic beach house. We have 4 kids (ages 4 to 14) and a dog, and everyone was comfortable. Great view of the ocean from the main floor. Very (short) private boardwalk with adjoining deck -- super easy to get to the beach and back in minutes. Convenient to Folly beach center street and its many shops and restaurants -- and also a quick drive to Charleston. The home has a generator in case of power outages and a nice home office setup with fast internet. The owners really care about your stay and it was very nice working with them. We are very appreciative of the experience we had during our 9 day stay at this home. Thanks again!
