Navigating to the hotel was very easy. We went ahead and parked in the open garage parking and went in to check in. I had a problem checking in through the app. Probably because I booked through Expedia, and not Hilton directly, so I had to physically check in with my card for incidentals. the service was great, the room was clean and fresh. It looked exactly like the pictures - thank goodness! We were going to the Stockyards to the rodeo, so we went downstairs and got a Lyft quickly. It took maybe 10-15 minutes to get over there. The rodeo was amazing! I highly recommend going. I would've gone both nights if we didn't have other plans the second. The second day, we used Google Maps to see what was around us to eat. We ended up walking about 2.5 short blocks to Rodeo Goat. It's a gourmet burger place. Let me just tell you - it was phenomenal. The sweet potato fries were everything. We had great service there after initially not having a great welcoming experience. Not sure what was going on, but our server ended up being very friendly. We went back to the hotel and went to the pool. I was a little anxious about the pool because there is only one tiny picture of it online everywhere, but it's great! It's a nice size, private, plenty of loungers, chairs, tables, with some covered seating, too. We met a lot of different people down there, which is always fun for me. That night, we went to Billy Bob's, also at the Stockyards behind the rodeo coliseum. Left Sunday. Had a blast!!
