As for house supplies, we had big cook pot and mixing bowls in kitchen they may be tossed away by house keeper when they were in bad condition. I have them restocked after I receive the message from guest. I can ask house keeper bringing more laundry soap and fabric softener and trash bags if they are running low…. I wish our guests can keep me posted on time during their stay to avoid the inconvenience. We have all house supplies include cooking /dinning and small appliances stocked in our storage, we can always bring them to the door upon guests requesting. Cleaning lady normally left 3 extra trash bags on bottom of trash can after cleaning. There are extra batteries in kitchen drawer. I wish our guests can communicate with me directly for any needs during their stay so we can provide better housing service. For 3bedroom/2 bath house, if housekeeping fee covers laundry it will be between $150-$200, in order to save extra bugs for our guest we only charge $100 house keeping which does not include laundry service. Guest only need to get laundry going at departure if they want to save $50 on laundry fee. Cleaning lady can help with laundry dry onsite for $50 extra, we stated it in house rules clearly. However, guest may overlooked the house rules for laundry policy.

Thanks for taking your time reviewing your stay. We have flushed all pipe lines and add special filters to eliminate the hydrogen sulfur smell of the water upon receiving the report from our guest. Water quality is much better improved now, sulfur smell is barely noticeable.

Thanks for taking your time reviewing your stay. Sorry to hear leaking issue from dishwasher, it is a new washer, first time leaking report on it, I will definitely have plumber on site check it out. No one mentioned TV not working before or after this rental till now, I will have our house keeper have it checked asap. In summer, Surfside area has many rain falls, that will makes water has some kind of stink sulfur smell since all houses are on blended well /city water. We have installed outdoor water filter system to reduce the mineral and hydrogen sulfur in water, we are installing double filter tanks now to further improve water quality. During summer rental, fridge door been open and closed often that will lead cooling coil over work to frozen and dripped water to the bottom of the fridge chamber, water will start cumulating on the bottom makes it looks like fridge is leaking. As long as we unplug the fridge, let frozen coil thaw up there will be no water coming out from bottom.Everything back to normal. We did not make the bed prior to guests arrival just to show all beds are stripped, mattress cover and pillows are washed clean, as well as folded sheets on top of washed comforters. Yes, we wash everything after each rental: pillows, comforters, mattress cover, sofa cover. We only ask our guests to put sheets /towels in washer/dryer going at departure, that will save great deal of machine time for cleaning lady continues laundry when they arrive site. Yet our place is not as fancy as 5 star hotel, but at least it is very clean, no hotel will wash pillows nor blankets after each rental....if you strip off the pillow case there are always a surprise waiting for you. I always bring my own pillow when I stayed at hotel. I did notice few spots on bedroom door was peeling. We had interior painted two yrs ago, painter did not put enough primer on the bedroom door prior apply new pain on them, we will strip off old paint and get all bedroom doors repainted when rental slows down. We bought living room leather sofa 3 yrs ago, they are not fancy, but definitely not cheap. I will consider bring in new set of "Luxury" sofa when we have a rental break. This house has granite counter top( kitchen & bathroom), granite top bar table plus adjustable bar stool, glass top nightstand, wood frame bunk beds(2yr), leather headboards for queen/king beds( 2yr), wood mini blends( 1yr) in bedrooms, tile floor(1yr), front load washer/dry( 1yr), they are not cheap for sure.

Surfside Beach is on well water, like most spring water, Surfside Beach water always has some sulfur smell. We have already installed outdoor water filter and extra filters over shower head and kitchen faucet to reduce the sulfur smell, but due to the frequent rain falls in summer, the smell becomes more noticeable after rain fall. We are planning to install extra outdoor filters to further reduce the sulfur smell.

We stated in house rules that we can take care of the laundry for min $50 if guest do not want to do laundry at departure. For a 3br/2ba house, laundry service company will charge $100 and it will double the housing fee to $200. We want to reduce the overall cost for our guests, so we only charge basic cleaning fee of $100 which does not include laundry service. Traveler can leave sheets and towels in washer/dryer going at departure if they leave in a hurry, we have washer /dryer and laundry soap/fiber softener on site, it should not be too hard to get laundry going at departure.... if there's no back to back rental we can give extra 2-3 hrs pass 11am check out to give guests plenty of time packing and get laundry going. Most guests would like to save extra $100 by helping get laundry going at departure...that why we still keep our check out policy this way to avoid hiring laundry service to bring up the rental cost to our guests.

We stated it in the house rules that cleaning fee does not include laundry service, however we can help with laundry for minimum $50 if guests want us help. Guest can leave last load of laundry going in washer and dryer at departure, or we can extend the check out time for 1-2 hrs if there is no back to back rental going.

Thanks for staying with us. Yes we encountered few tile cracks during summer rental, and we are working on get whole living room tiles replaced to match the color of tiles. Since the house is booked almost back to back during summer, we can only partially get tiles pieces replaced during our rental breaks...so far we have replaced half of the tiles in living room, the whole living room will get new tile when summer rental slows down in Sept.

sorry about the inconvenience. Fridge was set very cold before which made some fruits iced up, and apparently previous traveller brought temperature set up too much. I will ask house keeper check up the fridge temp setting when she cleans fridge in the future. Thank you for your review. We had plumber got the kitchen sink drain pipe cleaned and tuned up after your departure. We also removed some air freshener from the house so it will not has too much air freshener smell. since the house front is facing ocean side, windows on kitchen and living room side will get blurred by salty air easily, I will ask cleaning crew to keep eye on the front windows and get them cleaned more often. Sorry about the inconvenience. It was a bad cleaning process prior to the rental. We changed cleaning crew upon receiving the report from guest. A deep cleaning was performed after this rental. We strongly encourage our guests report any issues upon arrival especially cleaning related issues. We will get clean crew back on site reclean the house till it is satisfied by our guests.

sorry about the delayed check in. Our standard check in time is 4pm, early check in only available if there is no back to back rental on travelers arrival day. Surfside is on well water and mineral enrich, towels get harden quickly. This house is resisted on VRBO in early May after a two yrs long term rental. Early May new beddings ( new comforter, and sheets) are one all house beds, plus new towels, new shower curtains, new window curtains, mini blinds, etc. New dining and cook wares also added to the house on early May. We have been keeping up with house furniture update since Jun. Old fabric sofa was in service on Apr, 2018, and we replaced it with new leather sofa on Jul 7, 2021. New bar stool in service onJul 26, 2021, new deck wood chairs and coffee table added on Aug1, 2021. We also put new paint for entire house ( inside and out) on Aug 1, 2021. Thanks again for the heads up, we will definitely keep up with deck maintenance, and window glass clean up in the future .

Sorry we can not predict the AC failure. It was fine when cleaning lady working around the house in the afternoon. Guests reported AC failure around 8 pm on their arrival night. It is too late to get any AC service guy onsite at that time. I booked two hotel rooms and paid for the night. I also refund the first night of rental to make them happy. AC was fixed next morning around 8am. I send AC guy contact info to house guests because the wife keep asking me when AC can be fix since 7 am in the morning…I told her AC guy is working on it and I do not know when it will be done. She can ask AC tech directly if she wanted to get an instant response. We planned do some exterior painting after guests departure. Painter wanted to get some marking tape preparation on the day before they departure after approval from the husband. Painters were doing some under house deck post painting while guests were out on beach during daytime. They were out on beach all day long and came back to the house early evening by 7 pm. House keeper confirmed on one was at house since she was working in the neighborhood and wanted to drop off more house supplies but no one was at house. Painters removed marking tape and film on windows late afternoon and left the property as soon as guests returned house. I really do not understand why guests feel painters made them uncomfortable while they were not even at the house. I told painters stop do anything if house guests do not like anyone around. I did not receive any phone call or text messages from house guests express any concerns during the day while painters work on under house posts.Guests mentioned cheese and butter left in fridge from previous rental. I checked with my house keeper, she said she cleaned up everything in fridge during cleaning. Cleaning lady has been working on my other houses on island for years and she knows the drill…very unlikely she could made such mistake. The wife wanted to get an extra nt of refund since there were painters working under house. But I do not think it is proper to ask us issue refund . Especially when the husband approved painters working downstairs when they were out on beach all day long , and then use it to ask a rental refund. I tried my best fix AC failure and issued 1nt refund already plus paid for the hotel …that is the best I can do under that situation. If that still can not make guests happy, then there is nothing I can do.
