Funter Bay State Marine Park

The history of the hotel is indisputable. It is well-located in the heart of downtown, with many good to great restaurants within easy walking distance. Breakfast was nothing to get excited about

We stayed in a single queen suite with the kitchenette for 4 nights and it served it's purpose. The staff was friendly and the airport shuttle was timely and convenient. The downtown location is perfect for walking to shops, restaurants, and the tourist shuttle stops. Our only complaint is the neglected state of the property itself. The chairs in the room were stained and falling apart, the window in the bedroom was broken so we weren't able to open and shut it without extreme difficulty, the bathroom ceiling was uneven with patches and cracks and the bathtub did not drain. To top it off, when we tried to utilize the coin laundry, only 1 machine was in working order and it was already in use by another guest. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel for a few hours while we went out for the day before our flight home which was fantastic. I'm not disappointed with our stay at all, however I would recommend that the property manager take better care of the building as it is falling into disrepair.
