"My wife and I had a wonderful stay at citizen M Hotel Washington, D.C.. We chose this Hotel in parts to its proximity to major attractions such a as the Smithsonian museums on Independence Road, Capitol Hill, the White House, and the national mall. All are 30 minutes walks or less from the hotel. Especially the Air and space museum, which is less then 10 minutes. In addition L’Enfant Plaza is around the corner and great access to the Metro.
Hotel has a super modern vibe, with self checkin/check out. But there is always a person there to assista if you are having difficulties.
Our room is nice, with modern decor and the use of an iPad to operate the tv, blinds, lights and temperature really highlights the transition to modernity hotel stays. But forewarned, the room is small like Japanese or European hotels of new. However, we didn’t feel claustrophobic despite its diminutive size.
We had to rent a car for graduation at JHU, and I must say, parking is a nightmare. The parking spaces within the building does not belong to the hotel. Rates are $21/day and on weekend $61. Despite posting rates of $45 for hotel guests, there was no one in the parking structure to dispute the claims. The parking structure operates on credit cards exits only, so you are at the mercy if you want to get out. Street parking is limited, given the hotel’s adjacent US governmental neighbors. Although we did not find difficulties in acquiring a spot near the hotel, we used the park mobile app"

"This is an old hotel but we'll maintained. The room we stayed was pretty big. Staff all were super friendly and nice and helpful. The lady at the check-in names Kidist, was very sweet and helpful. Would definitely come back. "
