The Motto in D.C. was the perfect crash pad for my Janet Jackson concert trip! Super close to the venue, we walked there and back like it was nobody's business. And the Metro is right there, too, so getting around was a breeze. The rooms? Yeah, they're small and there's no closet, but honestly, for one night it was totally fine. I wasn't planning on unpacking my entire suitcase anyway. The bed was comfy, and the shower had great pressure – exactly what I needed after dancing the night away. The staff were all smiles and super helpful, which made the stay even better. The only tiny bummer was the main door needing your key to get in, but I get it, safety first! It just felt like one more thing to keep track of. Overall, if you're looking for a fun, convenient spot to stay in D.C. and don't mind a cozy room, the Motto is a great choice. I'd definitely stay there again!

The Staff were not friendly or even remotely welcoming. I was there during the Microsoft outage and do understand the issues however, quality Customer Service shouldn't suffer because of outside factors. There was 1 staff member Yarde, he was helpful and accommodating. The room was not great and definitely not what I'd expect of a Hilton branded establishment. It had an institutional vibe and the workers would loudly go in and out of the Electrical/Maintenance Room next to mine (1025) at all hours of the day and night. Overall, I would not likely stay again. In, addition the adjacent restaurant seemed to never adhere to the posted hours so I would have been highly annoyed had I opted to pay more and get the food credit package!

Staff were great, location is great, perfect for a brief stay and just a place to sleep. A mini fridge would make it perfect. Water pressure in the showers could be better and sometimes the noise in the hallways was a bit much, especially when other guests let their doors slam shut. But those are mostly just nitpicks. The A/C was spectacular during this hot summer. They were very accommodating too as far as early check in and late check out.

Was very nice for a quick weekend getaway in DC. I chose it specifically bc it was in a convenient area for walking for us, and the parking space was a very convenient add on.

Rooms are compact, but are very clean and have all the essentials. The hotel is very nice, and staff was friendly. Location is great, close to the metro and about a 10 min walk to the Mall. Only issue is the area which gets a bit unsafe at night. Otherwise, great stay.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and as comfortable as a smaller room can be. The location is great-- within walking distance of the Mall and multiple great restaurants. My only complaint was the street noise I could hear at night -- revving motorcycles, etc.
