I encountered some issues during check-in with my service dog; the staff attempted to charge me a fee, even though he is a service animal, country to what their website states. Additionally, there is no charging stations near the bed, which is significantly inconvenient for me since due to heath reasons I need to connect my CPAP and heart monitor

One out 4 staff were excellent. One staff member got annoyed when we asked for location of the cab rank. Breakfast was very ordinary.

Never again but in some ways a shame
Hotel itself was good and no issue with staff. Temperature unbearably hot and bed was like trying to sleep on a jelly. If you got close to the edge you fell off. Worst nights sleep ever!!!! Staff were excellent

Great stay in old world charm.
Great room with old period features. Lovely and warm, comfortable bed, quiet. A bit tricky coping with the shower over the bath, but ok. Very good, expansive choice, breakfast. Staff were very helpful and responsive in getting a minor problem fixed.

Near train station and excellent location near many cafes, restaurants and shops. Outstanding breakfast with many choices, very friendly staff, large room, comfy bed and pillows, nice shower with great hot water pressure. Highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

A clean and well situated hotel with a lot of history. Rooms were a generous size and had a separate sitting area. Bed was comfortable and the shower was easy to use. Staff was consistently helpful. Would recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

A beautiful hotel centrally located in Gothenburg. Walkable to everything you want to see. Breakfast in the morning was incredible and started the day off right. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The property is historic. It was built 20 prior to the birth of my Grandmother ...so I can imagine that she knew about this Hotel and maybe was in the building at one point in her life. I was on an ancestry trip...my Grandparents left Sweden in 1911 for the USA. They never returned. We never returned until now. A trip of a lifetime. Just Amazing

This is a beautiful hotel with so much old world charm. The food is fantastic and the rooms are very comfortable and cosy. I have stayed here a few times and what really stands out for me is the amazing service from the staff who are always helpful and friendly. My favourite hotel, of anywhere.

Very Centrally Located
The hotel was very central and just across the street from the train station. It was an old hotel with character. There was a good selection with the breakfast and I enjoyed it for a one night stay.

Lovely atmosphere in this baroque building, chosen especially for that reason (as we are a bit "tired" of modern hotels). Friendly staff, clean rooms, however a bit tired in areas that are maybe difficult to fix: the windows. For me with back issues the bed mattress was far too soft, my husband thought it was ok. The classic double room is small, but for 1 night absolutely ok, as we were out anyway. The kettle is always appreciated, nice big pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap and bottles of bath salt, pleasant products. Breakfast was very good and served in the amazing bar area. Many interesting photos and pictures on the walls, don't miss them. Would definitely come back here but ask for a firmer mattress. The location just next to the train station is a plus, and remember to check out the gardens by Trädgårdsföreningen next to the hotel.
