Great for an overnight stay.
A lovely little place, perfect for a one night stop over with two teenage kids. Great air con in a very hot Cretan sun, 10 stroll down to the harbour. Situated in a busy street at night, had a real buzz so much so our son went back out with his dad for more fun when we got back. The good quality glazing meant despite the night life, it was very quiet once inside. This accommodation is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as there are only stairs and we went up two flights to reach our room. Staff were very welcoming. A buffet breakfast is available at one of the sister hotels but we ate out at a local cafe around the corner for less than half the €12 pp they charge. Chania itself is a beautiful town, it’s busier at night than through the day and we spent a good couple of hours people watching at a local bar around the marina side of the old harbour. Highly recommend and good value for money.

This is a nice hotel in the heart of Channia. The staff is really helpful and kind, particularly Manolis, who is great guy. The only turn off is that the place does not have any reception, so you need to go to another hotel (about 4 blocks) to check in/out and have breakfast.

Excelente location and the room and beds were very comfortable! The property was close to everything and we were very happy to walk to stores and restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional and to name a few Georgia, Christiana, Maria and the breakfast staff were all very friendly and resourceful! It was a pleasure to have spent our vacation at Elia Daliana in Chania!! We would definitely visit again in the future.

The hotel was a bit different because it had no reception (it was in another hotel around the corner). This was not a problem in the slightest. Location was just awesome, on the first night we went downstairs for dinner, only to find that it was "all happening" literally on our door step. The room was spacious and very clean, bed was cumfprtable, and location un beatable

Great property, fantastic neighbourhood in charming Chania. Easy to get to, whether you take the public bus from the airport or accept the hotel's offer of the airport transfer (which is reasonably priced). Accessibility will be an issue for anyone who can't climb a flight of stairs to reach the room. The staff will help you carry your luggage up, but there is no elevator at this property...or if there is, it's very well hidden. The balcony faces the entrance to the covered market, where you can pick up all sorts of local products and tasty foods both raw and prepared. The street that the front door faces seems like a quiet semi-residential street in the daytime, but at night becomes a restaurant row. It's a nice area to be in at night, especially as an alternative to all the larger cafes and restaurants located immediately around the bay. To access the breakfast (if included in your package), you'll have to walk about 2 minutes to the main hotel, the Elia Betolo, to get it. Overall, the Elia group seems to run quite a few properties in Chania very well. Having stayed at the Daliani and the Betolo, I would say choose the Betolo if you need an elevator, easier access to the breakfast, and prefer the traditional hotel experience. If you want to feel like you live in Chania, choose the Daliani or one of the other suites. I would stay at this company's properties again.

That most of the historical building in the Venetian Harbor cannot be given license for restoration by the archeological authorities to include an elevator. Short vacay time @ Chania
Amazing location right in the heart of Chania historic city. A small treasure is Elia daliani suites, part of a hotel. Perfect size & amenities room , ideal for families There is no elevator & in case you have difficulties in sleeping you should take into account that suites are located on a pedestrian full restaurants area. Hotel provides also relevant equipment to make You’s stay less noisy

Beautiful Room in the heart of Old Town
Really lovely room in a central part of town with restaurants and the Old Town at your doorstep! I would only advise that as other reviewers have mentioned there is a lot of narrow stairs so would be difficult with a large suitcase, fortunately I only had an overnight bag as I did a one night trip from my base in Heraklion

Comfortable suite in a great location
The room is extraordinarily spacious and comfortable and the location is convenient and yet not caught up in the intense tourist hustle of the harbour. Two things could have improved this stay. Check-in was a problem. There is no reception on site but no instructions were received before arrival about how or were to check in. There is a nice enough balcony on the room, overlooking the 'agora'; however, there is just a stool on it. Something more comfortable seems more appropriate to the rest of the room.

All travel agents have been notified that the check in takes place at the nearby Elia Bettolo (50 meters distance) which has a reception operation 24/7. Maybe the travel agent didnt notify you promptly. None the leass you remark about the balcony was correct and will try to improve the balcony with more options

Highly recommend this place
I highly recommend this place and I don’t say that lightly. It was probably the best overall location I stayed of my 3 week tour of Greece. Location is fantastic, walking distance to downtown and the waterfront. “George” and “Freedom” from the 24 hour front desk were super helpful and friendly.

Beautiful boutique hotel
Our stay at Elia Daliani suite was absolutely perfect! We were welcomed so politely as soon as we arrived, and were very impressed. The rooms (had 2 rooms) were amazing. The design was so beautiful in both rooms, and it was very clean, spacious, and had everything you need. Small gestures like wine and a homemade dessert on arrival did not go unnoticed either! The hotel was in a perfect position with a very short walk to the town too. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! Thanks again for our stay.

Old Town Hotel Away from the crowds
We booked three rooms through Expedia but upon arrival at just before midnight they only had two rooms booked. There is no reception at the Elia Daliani so we were at the nearby Elia Betolo to register and retrieve the keys. The night clerk acted appropriately and found one room at the Betolo for the night until the situation could get sorted out the next day. The manager gave us a couple of options but we chose to stay together at the Daliani. Another reservation was moved to accommodate us. We had three rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors. There is no elevator so you need to climb stairs with your luggage. The rooms were spaciaous and comfortable. Bathroom had a very roomy shower with great water pressure. There was a small fridge to chill bevies, a pod coffee maker which was periodically stocked, and a old school keyed safe. The best thing about the hotel was the street it was located on. There were a numer of lively restaurants frequented by locals that were packed at night. Everything was in walking distance, including the bus station and shops. We were on the edge of old town which was fine as you can't drive in. Other than the booking issue, it was a very good stay.

Great location but difficult to check in
The location was great! Very close to restaurants and the harbor. Couldn't have asked for better in terms of location. However, the door to the Suites is not manned by anyone. We had to walk a few blocks to the main Elia Daliani hotel in order to check in and get the key. There is no lift/elevator, so it's best to have small luggage to carry up the slightly spiral staircase. Also, the doors aren't too thick so can you hear conversations outside and hear the doors closing etc. Other than that, we loved our stay!

Amazing hotel in Old Town Chania
The room was fantastic. It was spacious and very clean. An incredible value for all that you get. It's located a few minute walk from the harbor. The street it's on does get a bit noisy at night but that did not detract from our stay.

Nice studio in the heart of Channia
Good - clean, trendy, studio in the very heart of Channia. On a street that is packed with restaurants serving great, local food. Bad - finding the studio is tough, and parking is hard to find. The wifi never worked, and getting hold of the staff was hard. Room was not cleaned - they saw a do-not-disturb at 10 AM and never came back.

Fantastic boutique suites in central Hania
We booked this hotel for two nights as part of a honeymoon in Greece, and it was worth every penny. The rooms are huge and well-appointed, the decor is chic, and the location (across the street from the central market, 5 minutes from the harbour and a 10 minute walk from the KTEL bus station) is fantastic. The staff were also great - there is no on-site reception desk, but checking in was fairly easy and the woman who ran over to give us the keys even helped us carry our luggage up the stairs. Our favourite thing, though, was probably the small balcony - being able to see over Hania's quirky little streets and let the breeze blow through the room in the evenings was truly lovely.
