“This cottage was perfect for our 5 year anniversary get away. It’s close enough to attractions and shops/restaurants/breweries if you want to explore. It is also nestled just outside (2 min drive) of all of this to allow for a beautiful secluded stay. My husband and I enjoyed all had to offer. The fresh eggs and bread (dairy free bc I can’t have dairy) were a special touch. We would return! Edgar and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts. I even took home fresh eggs for the week. ”

“Nice escape with close proximity to hiking and fishing. Lots of space both inside and out with a nice kitchen stocked with spices. The lake is very close, but didn’t look suitable for swimming”

“This cottage was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in the Charlottesville area! It has a nice secluded feel and yet is close to wineries, grocery stores, etc. We were not bothered at all by the train or cars on 250. The house itself is even more charming than in the pictures with carefully selected touches for a tea room vibe. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Mary was very responsive to questions and all instructions were very helpful. I would definitely love to return!”

“This location is beautiful! It is very relaxing whether you are by the lake, the pool, or just walking around the property. The fishing was a lot of fun and there’s a good variety of fish. Also, there is a reason most reviews comment on how nice Tabby is. She is a very lovely person! The space was very roomy and clean. It was myself, my husband, and our two kids, and we fit very nicely in the space. I think the coffee bar was my favorite! I would very happily stay there again! ”
