This is a jewel of a find. It has the charm of a Moosehead cabin/camp but has so many personal touches (kudos to both owners and wonderful property manager, Marion) that make staying here a "home away from home" experience. First of all, everything is super clean—towels, bedding, floors, dishes, etc. Second, it has all the appliances you hope will be there, and they work! We enjoyed cooking BIG breakfasts, then prepared lunches to take with us while fishing, and ended the day often warming up takeout from Greenville (5 star review of the broasted chicken from Flatlanders, just outrageous). We loved the deck, (half covered, half open), never had a mosquito encounter, sipped coffee to start the day, then a glass of wine with dinner. Gas grill was also in excellent shape (we brought steaks up with us because local choices are limited). Our stay was in July, so we took notice of the great stove that would be a pleasure in cooler seasons, but really appreciated the fact that all windows were screened and opened easily, plus the fans generously placed in all rooms cooled the living quarters very quickly. Lastly, the neighborhood was wonderful—very quiet, friendly to us, and just a short walk to the lake.
We will plan to come back.
