The fire alarm went off throughout the hotel. It turned out to be a malfunction in the alarm system, but staff made no attempt to inform guests - no loud speaker announcement, nothing. Guests were swarming throughout the lobby, seeing fire engines and firefighters arriving in full gear. Still staff said nothing. I thought the point of an alarm system was to alert guests and give them instructions - evacuate or stay in rooms or something. This lack of communication with guests was inexcusable.

The room for one night was overpriced (approx 400$). For the area, we have stayed in far nicer and newer hotels for less.The amenities had been previously used and not replaced (shampoo and conditioner). Had we complained, the hotel may have done something.

The layout of the hotel was strange. There was not enough parking…had to park far away from the doors leading to our room. The bathroom was quite dingy, with rust on the shower floor and mildew in the grout around the shower. The remote for the TV was finicky and would work sometimes and not other times. The rooms were quite small.
