Need to be clearer that its a Bed and Breakfast

Posted Oct 12, 2016
Location: It is very convenient to Volcano National Park. Probably less than a mile away.
There was nothing wrong with the place. It was clean and our room was very large. The people were nice. The breakfast was nice. It's just that we weren't aware it was a bed and breakfast. We aren't really bed and breakfast kind of people. We like to be completely independent. Our only complaint was that we didn't know it was just a place with 4 large bedrooms and we happened to be the only people there for the night.

Nice Hotel close to the volcano

Posted Jul 14, 2016
The house itself locates after a 2-min unpaved road drive which makes this place great to stay - really "forest" style. Easy to go to the restaurant, store and laundry near by and also the USPS if you will need to mail post cards. Nice host and staff. Recommended.

Disappointment

Posted Dec 15, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: All of teh above
Location: Perfect loctaion
Very well situated in a beautiful rainforest close to Volcano National Park. However, unpleasant welcome, the place is deserted with a gloomy atmosphere. Strong smells of a place that was not open to the air for a long time. The shower is unpleasant + the toilets got flooded. Breakfast was minimal and of low quality. We had to look for a decent coffee and food immediately as we left.

Hotel with spacious room close to Volcano park

Posted Dec 11, 2015
Pros: Spacious room, quiet, friendly staff, nice breakfast, made the best out of its natural environment without waste
Cons: Wifi connection
Location: Best if you want to mainly explore the Volcano National Park and you don't want to pay the higher costs staying at the Volcano House within the park
Very spacious room, newly constructed and clean. Hotel is more of a bed and breakfast located within a rainforest, so you would basically wake up to the chirpings of the birds and rain. The room has a large patio, many windows that would let in natural light, and collects rain for water usage. If you have wet clothing from the outings, don't expect them to dry from hanging because it's rainy most of the time in the area. The sign at the entrance of the hotel is hard to see so you might miss it if not careful. Just follow your GPS and immediately make a right turn into the small gateway after you passed the post office at the Post Office Lane if coming from the ITO airport, which is about 45 minutes away. There are a few restaurants close by within 3 minutes drive away. The Volcano National Park is about 5 minutes drive away, so very convinient. Wifi connection however, is kind off on and off. Some people complained about having to take off their shoes at the door when come in, but really, if you explore the trails inside the volcano park in the rain, your shoes would be all dirty from all that mud and lava rock, and you would make a mess all over the place; the hotel is like someone's home, you don't mess up people's home like that when they treat you with such warm hospitality

Pros: Large room with two large beds and walk in closet. Also enjoyed the morning breakfast.
Location: Great location just outside Volcano National Park.
Stayed 4 nights with easy access to Volcano National Park in Hawaii. Got to see the glow of the volcano at any time. Watching the glow of the Volcano as it went from night to dawn was just fantastic.
