“We had a nice stay in a lovely rural location with nice outdoor terrace and quiet street for a long walk. Communication with the host was simple and straight forward.”

“This cottage is adorable! I stayed with my teenage daughter and my mother on a Luckett’s Spring Market trip. Location was less than 20 to the Clarke County Ruritan Fairgrounds. Had dinner at More Better and stopped in to see the view at Bear Claw. Cottage is clean, quaint, and has everything you need. Would stay again and would recommend. Communication w owner was timely and informative. And she went the extra mile with a forgotten item. All around an excellent experience.”

“We stayed here when in Warrenton to care for a loved one. It was the perfect location between the hospital and town in a lovely quiet neighborhood. House was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Chase was wonderful to work with and Mike (the owner) was very welcoming. Not only were we given bread, eggs, sausage at the beginning of our stay, we found some beautiful daffodils on our doorstep during our stay. We will definitely be back! Thank you!”

“Loved our stay at the cottage! We got take out from the brewery one night and cooked all other meals during our 3 night stay with another couple. Kitchen had everything we needed. Also enjoyed the grill, fire pit and comfortable beds and living area! Loved the proximity to great trails and enjoyed beautiful views and beer at the brewery. Hope to return!”

The cottage is tastefully decorated and super clean, with beautiful views from every window. We had a welcome package waiting for us (wine/cheese/chocolates) and the owner gave the kids mini pumpkins as we were checking out. Very kind, thoughtful owner with excellent communication. We loved sitting by the fire at night and enjoyed the screened-in porch on the rainy mornings. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.”

“Our family was in the area for a wedding and chose this property because it had 3 bedrooms and bathrooms. It was quiet and comfortable. Basement area seems like it is a work in progress.”

“The property was listed by two agencies and double booked. It took us some time to contact the owner. We were very disappointed not to get what we had reserved. However, they had another property which was available but had to be cleaned and so we waited. Also, the key did not work in the lock and at 8:30pm a locksmith had to be called. The property is lovely and it could have been a much less stressful stay.”

“Bull Run Retreat is a beautiful getaway!! It went above other VRBOs with how well stocked it was ! The extra necessities provided in the bathroom bailed us out a couple times and the snacks was a wonderful touch!! The setting was stunning!!”
