"Het inchecken verliep prima. Maar toen we de (schone) kamer inkwamen, was het alsof we een sauna inliepen. De zon had de hele dag vol in de kamer geschenen, dus het was er bloedheet. Er kon geen raam open en er was geen airco of ventilator. We moesten de koffers op de grond zetten, en konden geen kleding eruit halen omdat er geen kast aanwezig was. Ook even goed kunnen zitten was niet mogelijk, aangezien er geen stoelen stonden en er was ook geen tafel. Dus dan maar op het bed zitten om nog wat...

"Our experience at this "hotel" was mixed. The location was great, right in the old part of town, basically right on the water. The bed was okay, but not the best. The room was as advertised. There was a bit of noise at night from the pub, but this was noted in the listing. The Nespresso pods were nice in the morning. But there was no soap in the bathroom, and only one tiny garbage bin in the bathroom. Technically these things are not missing, but one assumes they don't need to bring soap...

This is a very fun and interesting hotel. It is inside a chuch as has charm. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was awesome as they had a standard european tray but offered kitchen made items at no additional charge. There is no parking so you have to walk about 7 minutes to a garage. We were a little irritated that they would not chech us in evern 30 minutes early when most of the rooms were vacant.

I booked this hotel not knowing it was just outside of Amsterdam in a village called Edam. It was the best thing!! Edam is only a 20 minute bus ride from Amsterdam’s Central Station. We got to see some of the country side and stay at a quaint little Inn for New Years Eve. We had a beautiful romantic dinner in their beautifully decorated restaurant. The only thing that surprised us was the quantity of fireworks that this community produced on New Years!! Amazing. We will surely go back!

We chose the hotel solely for its sport facilities: the gym and the swimming pool. They both were opened in all hours, not crowded and very clean. The gym had good variety of machines and the pool was long enough (16 meters) for lap-swim. We enjoyed exercising each morning before going to tour the city. We used the “Amsterdam & Region” card for all our traveling needs and moved around with ease
