I can't express how much I enjoyed my stay at The Red House. As a solo, female traveler, I was treated with so much respect and appreciated the service and property so, so much. Upon arrival (where they helped arrange private transport from the train station and when leaving, to the airport), they upgraded me to a suite that is larger than my condo back home! It was such a treat!!! I ate on site each night (and morning) and loved all of the food. I had traditional Moroccan food as well as other items on the menu and the presentation, attention to detail, and again, service was impeccable. I loved the musician each evening which made the experience even more lovely. I tipped my favorite server, the musician, and checker-inner at the end of the trip and I could tell while not expected, was very much appreciated. The property was outside of the Medina walls but just a stone's throw away from one of the gates, which made for easy pickups for day trips that I had booked. One tip - if you do a hot air balloon ride with an early morning pickup, let the desk know the night before because you might find yourself locked inside of the property ;). Which again, made me feel super safe! Thank you for a wonderful stay - would recommend to anyone!

This boutique hotel offers spacious, well appointed rooms. My room and bathroom were clean, the bed comfortable and the shower nice and hot. It had an appropriate sized TV. The namesake restaurant is ... well ... fabulous. The breakfast want buffet style, but the food offered was TASTY!! I will not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to friends.

Small Retreat by Medina with great Cust Svce
Lovely small (8 beds) property in location just outside the Médina near the Mamounia. With 34 staff you get very good personal customer service and information and the rooms are very generous proportions. The restaurant is the pricey end for Marrakesh but we really enjoyed having supper there once for the experience. Lots of non-guests eat there.... The swimming pool looked inviting but too cold as outside and the weather was below average temp/showery - so had a nice massage instead!

The Red House ticked all the boxes.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Red House. The staff could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. The room was clean. The pool was a lovely treat. We ate in the restaurant which is stunning, the food was lovely very large portions. Overall a great stay. Nice to be slightly out of the Medina.

Although the place was reviewed highly, we did not experience the same. The hotel itself was fine - a bit run down but clean and tidy, but it felt poorly managed, especially for the money. Restaurant was open for very limited hours, poor wait staff- non existent by the pool - had to call my room to get my partner to call the front desk to order a drink. No breakfast, no irons for guests to use, only one key for the room. Pool was not heated so was too cold to swim in. The front desk staff were very friendly and tried their best to assist. In light of some of the other amazing hotels in the area that we've stayed, I'm rating this lower than what others have indicated.

Hotel with Character in Central Location
Being a family of four we booked the suite which was very spacious with its two bedrooms and separate living room. The staff across all areas, i.e. reception, restaurant, spa, driver, room service, was friendly and efficient. In particular the two concierges, Abdil and Mohammed, were always charming and provided expert advise on all relevant topics such as restaurants, day trips, shopping and bargaining customs. The hotel’s facilities are slightly dated but comfortable and overall good value for money compared to other 5* establishments. The restaurant menu has been superb. Breakfast can be ordered to the room at no additional charge. Overall we have been very satisfied with the experience at Red House.

Excellent Stay in Marrakech
The Red House is a 5+* Riad. Location is perfect. Just 2’ from the entrance to the Médina of Marrakech. Do not stay in the Médina. The air quality is bad and you need to escape the chaos. The service is very personal and excellent. The included breakfast is a la carte and really the best. The rooms are suites with double bathrooms, lot of space and very clean. If you look for a Riad or a 5* hotel, The Red House is absolutely one of the best places to stay in Marrakech. Btw airport transport is included.

Perfectly located to walk to the Medina or new city. Close to local bars and restaurants The hotel staff were amazing. Incredibly helpful. They made us feel very special. The hotel restaurant is excellent I will return To The Red House in the future

Staff were friendly and helpful. They didn’t mind 2 crazy kids taking over (occasionally). Concierge was super helpful. Lots of assistance with bookings and speaking French to the folks at our next guest house. Venue is just outside the city walls. A short walk into the main square.

Really great hotel with superb service from an array of fabulous staff. Comfortable beds in big, clean rooms. Food in the hotel is wonderful - particularly the cooked to order breakfast that you can have served in your room or anywhere on the hotel grounds. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

OK hotel, do not deserve a 5 star
This Riad is located in the new city, and you need to walk at least 10 mins to get to any place. The bathroom is very old and the shower does not work appropriately. Usually they run out of water at night. The sofa in the room is very dirty, and the hardwood under the bed and sofa are extremely dirty, and nobody seems to care about the hidden area. However the only highlight is the restaurant located in the first floor. The dining atmosphere is good and the service is awesome.

The hotel is Moroccan traditional chic and absolutely amazing staff who will take care my every need. I have stayed in this hotel in and out for two weeks during my stay in Morocco and I cannot be happier. The rooms are fantastic and the hotel itself is stunning. If you want an authentic experience without losing the comfort this is your best option in Marrakech.

Beautiful riad, very close to the Medina
the staff were very friendly, but a very male dominated staff. I would be careful about the tour guides appointed by the hotel and if a woman traveling alone, ask for a woman guide. The guides seem to be getting a commission from the stores, this creates a conflict of interest. At times I did not feel safe and felt very pressured. I was more interested in the history of the area, and wound up being led back to the shops. i had some communication problems in that I did want a driver, or chaffeur and this seemed another issue. The hotel has a lovely restaurant and the staff in restaurant try hard. I think the key thing is try to be safe and communicate needs. The general manager seems a nice guy, but the guides were an issue.

STUNNING !!! Previously a luxury home that was then converted into a boutique luxury hotel. 8 rooms in total. Stayed in the Imperial Suite. Felt like royalty. Amazing room. Like a huge apartment. 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sitting room, a walk in dressing room & cupboard, entry hall, HUGE balcony. Excellent service. Picked up from airport (email in advance to arrange). Had breakfast in our room one day and breakfast by the pool the next under a tree that was like a canopy. Away from the Medina (5 minutes) so its quiet. About 10 minutes from the airport. Spoke to the Manager when we were leaving - he wanted to thank us fir our stay and let me know what he could do for our next stay. Professional, attentive, luxurious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Fantastic hotel
My friend and I booked 5 nights at the Red House for a holiday in Marrakech and we both extremely pleased with our choice. We highly recommend this hotel. We were upgraded on arrival to an enormous room with two bathrooms! The breakfasts were generous and absolutely delicious -with the option to eat it by the pool, in the stunning restaurant, or in our room! The service from Abdel and his team were fantastic - from arranging free taxi transfers, making restaurant reservation, and making us a special dish that wasn't even on the menu, nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect for us - just a short walk in to the Medina, but being just outside meant it felt far more relaxed and safe. We enjoyed spending mornings lazing by pool and exploring the Medina in the afternoon.

Outstanding Service
This is a very comfortable hotel in a fabulous location just outside the Medina, but within easy walking distance of the souks. The hotel staff provided outstanding, friendly service from the moment we arrived at the airport and were met by the hotel driver until he returned us to the airport 3 days later. The hotel concierge took the time to give us advice about how to avoid the common 'scams' and helped to build an itinerary for our stay. The restaurant staff were also very welcoming and accommodating.

First visit to Morocco
The Red House staff made our first visit to Morocco exciting, inviting, fascinating and fun! Mr. Abdullah and his team helped us with directions, restaurant recommendations, cultural information, train tickets, and truly welcomed us with open arms. What a cool and refreshing location to return "home" to in the afternoon after a hot day trawling the souks. Thank you for helping to make our first (and certainly not our last) visit to Morocco a dream to remember!

A converted historic home of a wealthy family, this small (8 guest rooms, some quite large), with grounds and outdoor swimming pool is a relaxing and comfortable place after a day in the remarkable medine of Marrakech. The staff in unfailingly helpful and generous. Quality is the theme. It is a modest walk into the main square of the medina, and it has the advantage of being in a modern residential district, near shopping and more or less ordinary restaurants.

No better hotel in Marrakech
Our stay at The Red House was 3 days of pure pleasure and comfort and Abdel, the manager was the consummate host, It began with being picked up at the airport and being driven to the hotel whose location is perfect, It is just outside the Medina wall and just a few minutes walk into the Medina. The riad is a magnificent 100 year old house that has been converted into an 8 room hotel in a park-like setting with a large pool. The service was prompt and impeccable; our room was large, comfortable and clean, and the restaurant setting was nothing less than stunning. The tile work and frescoes must be seen to be believed and the food was superb. A memorable stay at a memorable hotel

Home from Home
We were welcomed right from the moment our taxi pulled up outside the side entrance. Our room was ready and just what we needed - spacious and with a balcony large enough for chairs and table, with a nespresso coffee maker, great TV with 3 satellite links, a shower with massager and separate bath and toilet, excellent firm bed with beautiful sheets and duvet. The only thing that was looking a bit jaded was the carpet, with lots of marks on it, everything else was spot on. Lots of tips and recommendations from the manager The staff at the hotel are all hand picked and given a few months to prove that they can work to the high standards and spirit that the manager tries to instill. It works really well, they were superb bar none ... and again all were switching seamlessly between French, German and English as demanded by the range of guests there. This is an EXCELLENT boutique hotel, a home from home

We had an excellent 4 nights at the Red House. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the food in the restaurant was superb. They organise a trip for and recommeneded other restaurants without being push. The hotel is quote small ( 8 bedrooms maybe) but our room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We would definately recommend it as good place to stay when visiting Marrakech

We travelled in February, and were very lucky with the weather, but it was amazing to know that their gorgeous outdoor pool was heated. We were greeted by a very friendly and informative Manager of the hotel - Abdul. He gave us good advice and took care of us all throughout our stay. The service of the hotel in general was outstanding, the food was always fresh and delicious. Definitely coming back!! Highly recommend it.

Excellent customer service - staff could not have been more helpful, pleasant and the hotel generally provided an oasis of luxury at the start and end of the day! I would not hesitate to recommend it as a hotel. If you want to be close to the main square at all times then you need somewhere inside the walls - this is just outside (but not up in the new town) but easy / cheap taxi access to all the sights, and it's even on the bus tour route!
