Very clean property and a very comfortable room. Its location in the Heights is excellent. My only complaint is that the plumbing didn’t drain well in the shower or the sink. The hot water in the shower was a little finicky too, but thankfully there was a label to help sort it out. We would easily stay here again.

More than expected
The inn more than met my expectations and maintained a fair price for accommodations noting that it was the NCAA football championship evening at NRG stadium. Pauline was helpful with planning transportation to and from the stadium and flexible with my arrival time. The home was lovely and clean. I stayed in the Empress room which was a good size room with a king sized bed and cozy decor. Thank you. Will recommend to friends.

Unique spot with classic charm in the Heights
Quirky, independent inn in the center of the Heights. Be aware that this is one neighborhood in Houston that has character, and this place demonstrates it. This is my second stay at Sara's and I love it. Each room is unique, with modern conveniences, great decor, comfortable beds, and a perfect location.

Terrible Service
I have stayed here many times and always had a good experience but I am extremely disappointed with the service from my trip. When I went to check in at 3:30PM I realized they gave me an inaccurate code to get into he building. The code was **** and that was not possible to put in the keypad. I called the two numbers I had access to and called and left voicemails but no one answered or responded or anything. I had to sit outside on the porch for an extremely long time and being 5 months pregnant in the Houston heat was unbearable but I had no choice because I had no way to get in. I started just putting in random codes to try and get in and just happened to put in a correct code. I did not receive a response from this hotel until almost 6pm to give me the correct code. The excuse was "I have covid so I was not looking at my phone" if a person who works at this hotel is sick and unable to fulfill basic job functions (such as answering a call or text) there should be someone else who can make sure things are running properly. I was not offered any sort of compensation or anything to make this situation I just got a "Im sorry" which frankly is not enough. Extremely disappointed.

Hi Leigh -Yes, you are absolutely right about all of it. I overlooked sending you the correct access code and because I was doing administrative work for the inn at home that day due to illness, I missed your phone call and text resulting in you being stranded outside the inn. I definitely understand how pregnancy in the summertime really exacerbated that situation for you.You are also correct in that at a very small inn like ours, only another person and I run the entire inn 24/7, so sometimes if there are extenuating circumstances like this (I was very ill and my work partner was out for her weekend) it can be difficult to manage and I failed to manage the situation properly.We understand you may not want to stay with us again but in the event you do, please accept your next stay from us as a complimentary one and a perfect experience guaranteed.Again, I am very, very sorry that happened to you. My travel hours were unusual this visit. A detailed text message was provided before arrival. The establishment is clean, comfy and kind. A coffee machine and a gesture of wine upon arrival are a nice touch. I would visit again.

Over last year I have stayed 2 time. Fist time, got the outside, first floor Suite.The 2nd time- Presidential Room?, second floor on the left. I was very disappointed with the bed’s poor condition. Sink was too small and water would splash out.

Relax at a Beautiful Victorian Home
Throughout the process of making our reservation, preparing to check in, checking in, and staying, our stay was phenomenal! After checking into our beautiful room, we decided to relax in the front porch and have a special coffee drink from the coffee machine (it made special coffee drinks of all kinds). We really enjoyed relaxing on the front porch that faced tree-lined Heights Boulevard and just talking. We had a wonderful but busy morning, so it was such a nice surprise to be able to sit in such comfort with a delicious coffee drink and talk! The Victorian home is beautifully furnished and maintained. The boulevard is lined with trees and sidewalks. The room’s furnishings were beautiful and comfortable. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Houston! Thanks!!

The bed was sooooo comfortable that my husband and I want to buy one. The location near hike bike trails was so fun. We loved the food places very hip and Austiny. Small details we did not like are just nit picky but maybe worth addressing. Smallest trash cans in room ever. Slippery shower floor. The lights were way to bright in room. No breakfast, and coffee machine took just the right button punching to get decent cup. Parking was so tight and with two baby showers inside it was tuff to get in and out when we wanted to leave or come back. But the girl was super nice and got people to move their cars for us.

I love so many things about Sara’s inn. The rooms are so clean, location and service are excellent, and they think about the little details with complimentary snack, coffee, red wine. Sadly, the room I stayed in had a very hard mattress. I’ve had back issues before and the bed in the Royal Damask brought those aches and pains back and led to a very sleepless night.

Located in historic heights neighborhood, there were many walkable restaurants, paths and sights from this property. The service was exceptional and they were always available to help when needed.

I cannot say enough good things about this inn. We had a fabulous stay here! The property was gorgeous, super clean and the location is perfect. Despite several people staying in one house, the property was quiet and everyone was extremely respectful of keeping noise to a minimum. For us, it seemed pretty centrally located to everything we needed to get to. Our only complaint is the bed in our room being uncomfortable. That’s a personal view though so do NOT let it deter you from booking a room here. We will definitely be back to try a different room and bed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Absolutely beautiful
Absolutely beautiful home. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. No contact check in seemed a little strange but everything was great. Walking distance to restaurants made for a nice stroll.

Awesome Houston experience !!
It was a perfect place for my adult daughter and I to spend a mother daughter weekend . Beautiful house and decor and very comfortable too !! Just loved the porches and the wine and snacks available . Great location too ! I will return there again :)
