“A really amazing property and possibly my favorite of our week long trip. We were only here one night, but it was perfect. The view was incredible and the space very clean. My only very small and easy to fix complaint was that all the amenities weren’t listed or were unclear. There is nowhere very close to eat or get groceries so we planned to only have a kettle. When we got we had a set up for an electric cook top, pan, and some other things. Also, it wasn’t as clearly listed that we would have……

“I could not have asked for a better place to stay than the Aurora Igloo South to top off our Iceland experience! We spent the evening staring up at the stars being wowed by the dancing Northern Lights appearing all around us. In the morning we watched the sun come up and admired the view with our coffee. I had requested the extra package for a bottle of champagne and chocolate for £35 - completely worth it! ✔️Easy to communicate with via Expedia app ✔️Straight forward to find and access……

“Photos can not capture the beautiful scenery at the villa. You are surrounded by nature and the view of the Northern Lights surrounds the area when they are dancing. Our teens, young adults, middle-aged, and senior family members were all able to enjoy the spacious layout. Travel to local sights is easy and worth it in order to be in the tranquil quiet by the lake. I highly recommend staying here. The owners are wonderful hosts.”

“Glamping experience with nice amenities all around and a really unique lounge area in the barn. The main area is a large building and has multiple bathrooms and showers. The facilities and kitchen were a little tight for the amount of people when full, but ultimately worked out fine. The big surprise was the barn lounge area. I definitely recommend spending some time in what is a really cool and unique underground area. Overall, was a comfortable and fun stay.”

“Askot Cottage was amazing! We definitely wished we had stayed more than one night. Directions were clear, property was well illuminated, and entry was easy. I appreciated the fact that each cottage has its own EV charger and washer/dryer combo. We also had a great view of the northern lights during our stay! ”

“The accommodation looked exactly like the photos and was spotless. It was located right next to Kerið Crater, making it easy and convenient to step outside at night to watch the northern lights. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the hot tub, which was a bit disappointing. It’s definitely a place we would love to stay at again and highly recommend to others.”

“I could not recommend this place more! It's such an amazing feeling to be out in the nature in the hot tub, star gazing, finishing the evening in the sauna. The only regret is not booking it for more nights! 10/10”
