“We wanted self catering accommodation that was not isolated that we can just chill out if we want to and this fits the bill. It is an easy walk into Ballater for shops restaurants etc. very central to explore the local area and there are some great walks. The accommodation is clean and well presented and has everything you need and the owners were helpful and friendly but left you in peace. I would certainly stay again if in the area. ”

“I stayed here for a 2 day conference in Boat of Garten and was within a 5 minute walk of the venue. Great comms from the hosts and place was perfectly presented and very comfortable; you might want to place another comment book in there as the existing one is full although it was fun reading through people's thoughts and and suggestions and you have clearly followed up on these. If i'm back this way, it would be the first place i book. Thanks Again. Breakfast options were a nice touch, thankyou...

“We absolutely loved our stay at Spey Retreat. Kay was very responsive and helpful in getting us settled. The place was incredibly comfortable and spacious. The back patio has an amazing view. The location was perfect for us. It was a short walk to the most amazing coffee shop and many trails and a short drive to several adorable seaside towns. We are looking forward to staying here again in our next trip to Scotland. ”

“The property is located in an almost secluded area and very quiet. We enjoyed the amount of space available for our family - we did not feel on top of each other. Amenities are close by, within walking distance. Even though there are other flats/apartments around, you did not feel it within the property and made it feel very private. "No se puede considerar un hotel de 3 estrellas. Ni siquiera hotel. Hay hosteles y albergues en mejor calidad y estado con menor rango de hoteleria. La cama de matrimonio, son 2 colchones pegados, uno con muelles que molestan. La ducha sin presion de agua caliente. Dentro de un rollo de papel, encontramos un vaper, de algun otro usuario o servicio de limpieza. Avisamos de estas situaciones y lo unico que dijeron fue "gracias y lo siento". Lamentable."
