About this property
Trails End Cabin - Historic Inlet Home
Welcome to Trails End House, a beautifully renovated Adirondack vacation rental located in Inlet, New York. Originally part of the historic Rocky Point Resort, this fully restored property once served as guest accommodations and has now been thoughtfully transformed into a luxury Adirondack retreat blending rustic character with modern comfort and upscale amenities.
Perfect for family vacations, group getaways, and year-round Adirondack adventures, Trails End House offers spacious accommodations, stylish finishes, and an unbeatable location close to Fourth Lake, downtown Inlet, hiking trails, boating, and snowmobile access.
Inside, the home features a bright open-concept layout designed for gathering and relaxing. The fully updated granite kitchen includes black stainless steel appliances, ample counter space, and everything needed to prepare meals during your stay. The large dining table comfortably seats eight guests, creating the perfect setting for family dinners, holiday gatherings, and evenings spent together after a day exploring the Adirondacks.
The inviting living room is centered around a warm pellet stove and features a 55-inch flat-screen Smart TV, creating a cozy atmosphere throughout every season. The main level also includes a guest bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom for added convenience.
Upstairs, guests will find three additional bedrooms, including two bedrooms with king beds and a third bedroom with a queen bed. Two full bathrooms on the second floor provide comfort and privacy for larger groups. The kitchen, living room, and all four bedrooms include flat-screen Smart TVs, allowing guests to relax and unwind throughout the home.
Step outside to enjoy one of the property's most impressive features — the private backyard retreat. The spacious TREX deck offers outdoor dining space, Adirondack chairs and a propane grill perfect for relaxing beneath the Adirondack stars after a day of hiking, boating, skiing, or snowmobiling. Guests can also gather around the original outdoor stone fireplace, adding to the property's authentic Adirondack character and charm.
Trails End House is conveniently located approximately eight-tenths of a mile from downtown Inlet and can easily be reached by paved sidewalk. Guests can enjoy Inlet's public beach, boardwalk, tennis courts, playground, local restaurants, boutiques, cafes, and seasonal events. The public boat launch is located just half a mile away, making it easy to access Fourth Lake and the Fulton Chain of Lakes for boating, fishing, kayaking, and waterfront dining.
Old Forge is only a short 15-minute drive south, offering additional restaurants, shopping, hiking, mountain biking, breweries, scenic drives, and family attractions including Enchanted Forest Water Safari and McCauley Mountain.
During the fall, the region comes alive with spectacular Adirondack foliage and crisp mountain air. Winter transforms Inlet and Old Forge into one of the Northeast's premier snowmobile destinations. Known as the Snowmobiling Capital of the East, the area offers more than 500 miles of groomed snowmobile trails connecting visitors throughout the Adirondacks. Guests can also enjoy downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing during the winter season.
Whether you're planning a summer lake vacation, a relaxing fall getaway, or a winter snowmobile retreat, Trails End House offers the perfect luxury Adirondack home base for experiencing everything Inlet and the surrounding Adirondacks have to offer.
