Great location, great staff. Service is excellent, Emin and Turkan were very helpful with all the questions we had. They advised us on which restaurant is good and where to exchange USD to lira and many more other things.

Good stay/poor tour guide
Comfortable stay, friendly staff, and central location. Other than a poor recommendation by hotel staff for a local guide our stay was uneventful. After our poor experience with the tour guide, I asked the hotel not to recommend Gulliver Tours - Ms. Emil Sucu tour guide. It was a total waste of time and we got nothing for our money.

Overall, the review score is a fair reflection of the hotel. Every hotel in Sultan Ahmet or Fatih in general gets good score for location, but this one really has a great location, just 2 minutes walk from the Sultan Ahmet mosque and yet reasonably quite. There are many good restaurants and grocery stores around. Hotel condition is great, staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is plentiful. I would recommend. By the way, I canceled a reservation at a Laleli Hotel to get a room at a next door hotel here, because Laleli-Aksaray neighborhoods have deteriorated significantly since we visited last time 6 years ago. We did not feel safe walking around outside of in Aksaray hotel. Extremely crowded, mostly with people fall on hard luck trying to escape to Europe. Sultan Ahmet is also crowded, more than usual, but feel safer since the crowd are mostly tourists or the locals working in the area. Keep this in mind when you make reservations.

I have been staying at this hotel for more than 10 years, Again and Again, i definitely recommend it. Despite that it is not luxurious, but when you stay there you feel like home. The staff are so kind and helpful, Rooms are very clean, and prices are so fair. What distinguishes this hotel, his location which is almost 1 minute away from Sultanahmet square, where you can find all the sightseeings (Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, TopCapi Palace,...). Also the tramway station is 2 minutes away. Nearby restaurants and shops for all your needs. I will be coming back anytime i visit Istanbul.

The location of the hotel is perfect,all the tourist attractions are just 10 minutes walking,blue mosque and Ayasophiya are just around the corner plenty of restaurants around and is in the heart of Sultanahmet area.sultanahmet tram station is just 12 minutes walk you can go to Eminoun where you can take ferries to Bosphorous or Asian side of Istanbul.

Perfect Location
i've been to this hotel for many years and still find it the best. it is not a luxury hotel, but it is close to all your needs (sightseeing, shopping ...) Staff are so kind and friendly.

The Novano is a little slice of heaven

Cosy hotel with good location
We vidited Istanbul in late October and were staying at Hotel Novano. Location of the hotel is just great - it is in the Sultanahmet area and everything is in walking distance or if you need to get tram or bus, there are tram and bus stops. Also there is a good choice of cafes around, you can easily walk to waterfront to have freshly cooked fish in cafes around. As for the hotel itself, it is very clean, cosy and comfortable. We found it a good deal for its price. Managers at the reception are really helpful, e.g. we needed some more time to pack all our staff and asked if it was possible to check out later (we were ready to pay some extra money for this), but manager said we could check out later and it would be free. Breakfast was also good and there is a relatively good choice for breakfast menu. When we get to our room tired after all day tourings around Istanbul, we felt really relaxed and comfortable in our room.

Were well received past midnight. Left out luggage after checkout and picked it later. Breakfast: hot omelette with all other goodies was included. Room was small, kettle was provided in request. Value for money.

Do yourself a favour and stay at this hotel!!
I have just returned from a trip to Turkey and whilst in Istanbul I stayed at Hotel Novano (twice!). What a great find! This hotel is so close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Palace even I was surprised. The hotel itself is impeccably clean (all the time!) and always smells nice and fresh. The manager, Kenan was always helpful and went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable and hassle free. The breakfasts are delicious too and nothing was too much trouble. In terms of price, trust me you will not find better (well you might but I am sure it will be a different standard).

The Perfect and reasonable hotel to Stay
I visit this hotel once a year and everytime i like it more and more. It is a cosy hotel located near the famous sultanahmet square . the tram is 2 minutes away , where you can go to any place through it. The staff are so kind and good. *****PEREFECT****

Breakfast has enough choice and is very good. The only drawback is no elevator which is normal for boutique hotel on this area. Feel safe to walk at night near the hotel.

We were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Situated in the perfect location for sightseeing the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Palace which were all just a short walk away. The room had comfortable twin beds and efficient air conditioning. It was also very quiet with a double door to our room. As 2 ladies walking around the area, no matter what time of day, we always felt comfortable and safe.

As a woman travelling solo, this small, friendly hotel made me feel very welcome and safe. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The location is ideal, close to all of the important sites, and is in a lovely street with many restaurants close at hand. The breakfast was excellent. Rooms were clean and provided everything needed. They were also well insulated against outside noise. Excellent value for money.

A nice holiday
The hotel is located in a convenient neighborhood close to all the main attractions. The staff are friendly and give you a feeling of being at home. I felt that many of their clients are regular. The Internet connection is very good. The room was a bit very hot but later I was able to get a remote control for the A/C.

Loved this place! Close to everything. Did not mind the room size, that's expected with boutique hotels. We had a back room and actually enjoyed the peace since we are living in a noisy city. We spent little time in the room so once again the back room was perfect. Breakfast was really good as well, plus you can request egg specials. Lastly, we were on the 3rd floor and had help with our luggage.

I am not sure whether it was Expedia or Hotel Novano that messed up my reservation for a room with two twin beds. When I arrived I was given a choice of a small room with full bed on the first floor or fourth floor. The idea of lugging my two suitcases up the stairs (no elevator) convinced me to choose the first floor. I was very tired and fell asleep as soon as I checked into he room. When I woke up I realized I didn't have the right room. I talked to the gentleman at the front desk but he couldn't give me a room with two twin beds. I wrote to Expedia complaining about the reservation and showed it to the clerk the next morning. He finally moved me to the room I wanted. .
