Try to avoid coming back

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Room was good but this hotel was the only one having room for that date of college moving day.
Cons: All the common areas, lobby, reception, all corridor and entrances need an upgrade and renewal, all corridors smell to smoke.
Location: Fair
Not pleasant.x...................not more time to spend on this. This hotel would be the last resource for me

Disappointment & Unsatisfactory

Posted Aug 22, 2015
Cons: entire facility needs substantial upgrade.
Location: NONE.
The room has smoke smell accumulated years, the furniture and finishes are outdated and old. Plus, leaks from upper level room during midnight; asked staff if could switch room, response was there was none. Further persistent asking, finally got a room available to switch. the hotel near no where, qualified high ends restaurants and shopping center are none. In an isolated and secluded area. Plus, it is not a fair price as compared to her service and neighborhood. It shouldn't be more than $65/night/single room.

Nice hotel near SUNY Cortland

Posted Aug 21, 2015
We chose this hotel because it had reasonably priced rooms, and is near the university- our son attends, and we came to visit him- and is a few blocks from the restaurants we use- Friendly's, Denny's, etc. If you're planning on visiting when there are events going on, like college graduation or homecoming, you should book WAAAAAAY in advance- there are a lot of colleges in the area, and you may not get a room anywhere nearby if you don't plan in advance. The hotel was nice and clean. My wife and I stayed for two nights. The hotel put out only one each of shampoo, conditioner, etc. We used half a tube and left it in the shower to be used the next morning. Housekeeping threw out the open tube but didn't leave a new one. Yes, of course, we could have called the desk for another one, but I was already in the shower & wet when I realized that there was no shampoo. The other problem was that we were in a disabled-access room. The shower is at floor level, it has no step, so the water comes out under the curtain onto the bathroom floor. The ceramic tiles on the bathroom floor were extremely slippery when wet, to the point where I was really nervous about slipping and falling. I notified the desk when we checked out but obviously won't know if anything was done about it. Aside from these two minor problems, the hotel was nice & clean, relatively quiet, & very convenient.

Tired old disaster!

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: A wreaking ball would help!
This Hotel should be torn down. It is tired, moldy, falling apart and half deserted. Once a place gets this far out of date and is in shambles, start again. Garbage stacked up on window sills because of lack of bins and noisy. I am very disappointed that it is even on your list! No free breakfast and dirty hallways. The worst place that I have stayed and $100.00 a night. What a rip off!

Hotel needs major remodel

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: All of it
This hotel has been around for quite some time and should be remodeled. When you walk into the lobby it doesn't seem too bad, but once you enter the building for your room, it's quite a different story. The hallway carpet had a must odor and were dirty and the hallways were dark and smelled. The guest rooms need new furniture, bathroom tile needs to be replaced, window curtains and bed linens need replacing, room air conditioner seems to be original and should be replaced. There was a new Samsung TV in each room, but the reception was not clear. I would not recommend this hotel as there are nicer ones in behind the Ramada and across the street, that still give you easy access to the highway, gas stations, Dunkin Donuts and others include free breakfast.
