“This is a really beautiful place and the room was enormous and the layout was so in keeping with the heritage level of the building. There was a tea set for tea or coffee, a king sized bed, a sofa for relaxing and a bath. Total luxury!”

“On arrival we found were on the 3rd floor and the lift had been out of order for some time. We are both over 70 and have both had back procedures, my wife has a torn shoulder, I have hip and knee problems and I have had a heart attack. Once we managed to get up there we found a room with no air conditioning, a hole in the bathroom door, holes in the wall beside the bed, someone had drawn a dartboard on the wall above the bed and……

“The room we stayed in (#3) was featured on their Expedia page and on their website and looked very good as far as motels are concerned, but we're pretty sure the photo was taken many, many years ago because everything in the room was just old and worn. The sheets and blankets were stained, and my husband was dubious as to whether they were even cleaned, so we ended up sleeping fully clothed. We didn't sit on the sofa because it was stained.
