“The Purple Passion Cottage was fabulous, cozy, comfortable, charmingly furnished and had everything my family of 3 needed. The kitchenette was well stocked with enough pots/pans/dishes and utensils so that we could cook a few meals. We even baked cookies in the oven! The attached balcony is perfect for morning coffee, star gazing or a bit of yoga or just watching the wind blow through the trees. The cottage is set on beautiful estate with a rainforest to explore, a brisk plunge pool and two hot……

“This is a wonderful place to stay in Puna. It is in the heart of the area and they regularly host events, which can be fun to attend. They have a cafe at the reception area with some healthy food options, mostly pre-made.”

“Stayed here and it ended up being exactly what I needed.There’s something different about this side of the island. It’s raw, alive, still being formed. You feel it the moment you arrive. This place sits right in that energy. Quiet, grounded, and far enough from the noise to actually let you reset.The space itself was clean, well kept, and thoughtfully put together. Nothing excessive, nothing missing. Just simple, intentional, and comfortable. Waking up out here feels different. Slower.……

“A really cool place. Sharon and Stephen were wonderful hosts (this is a small ‘condo’ downstairs on their property). Very comfortable, parking is doorside w a private entrance. Beautifully landscaped yard. Kitchen is well stocked w/ utensils and basic seasonings/condiments for cooking. Walk-in shower and adjacent outdoor shower. Seaview is definitely off the beaten path—20 min drive to town down a road w/ incredible scenery. My favorite was listening to the sounds of the jungle at night……

“We arrived in Hawaii only to find our booking had gone out of business and forgot to remove their VRBO ad. But we found Paradise Palms available at the last minute. Sharon and Steve worked with us and VRBO to help us straighten everything out. And we spent 3 days in the area and it was beautiful. Every day was a new adventure. ”
